@ziavrap You can in fact have ubuntu on a drive with windows. Go to ubuntu . com and download the necessary files and programs to burn the installation program to a cd, the put the bootable cd into your computer WHILE in windows and the autorun will pop up with the option to install it onto the same drive as windows.

@OfficialDruvy If you're using Ubuntu or another system with a GNOME desktop, you should already have GTK2 support built in. Download the .tar.gz file, but don't expand it. Drag the file over your preferences / themes window. You will be asked if you want to install. Just hit yet. You'll be all set to go. Oh, make sure you have ClearLooksDark installed or this won't look quit the way you expect it to.

@PandemicDead The Nvidia 8600 card handle these graphics effects on Ubuntu with no problem at all. The speed will blow you away. The CPU hardly works at all since most of the graphics rendering is done by the card.

Ok well i need help! I tryed to install Ubuntu on my computer but it keeps going to this error page saying i am missing my ethernet connection so i took out my graphics card and it let me install Ubuntu so then i installed all updates and Nvidia graphics card drivers and then I turnd off the computer and put my graphics card back in but then i turned it on and it whent back to the error page agin saying the dame things. install Linux/Ubuntu 9.0.4, if you want you can install this operating system as a secondary one next to your Windows. You need an ntfs formatted partition or a second physical HDD. Then you will start "compiz" and configure the effects as desired.
