You are having a slow computer. You may need to buy more RAM for your computer. I had it aswell, and i bought more RAM for my computer and it worked. But watch out, because your computer must have the right requirements. So you may cannot upgrade your computer. If you can not, try to turn all programs off. Or else you have to buy a new computer. :( Sorry. Hope this helped

i figured out that you sometimes you have to wait maybe 2 or 3 seconds before walking and shooting. if you pause the game and wait just 5 seconds you will be able to film without lags

Record at half size, 30FPS or lower, cut sound if possible for your purpose. If you have more than one hard drive, have Fraps record to a different drive than the game is running from. Fraps doesn't encode its video in real time like others such as GameCam so it can really clog the tubes on slower hard drives.

There is a trick to fraps... get a 2nd harddrive for storage, and set fraps to record to it instead of your main harddrive and it works perfectly... good luck.

guys, frap sux use gamecam . Much smoother performance, and also, u can change recording resolution for a much smoother gameplay. Look at my ingame vids, how smooth are they? and thats halo on full graphics =] and i only have an ati radeon hd3650 :D

Turn off all excess applications, such as itunes or msn running in the background. Put the detail settings of halo to minimal. Put the FPS in Fraps to around 30.

Lower your graphics settings in Halo itself. For example turn off Specular, Dynamic shadows, set particles on low set texture quality to low and change resolution to 640x480. That will fix it. Also set Fraps to the FPS you usually get when not recording.

i tried uninstalling and reinstalling like 10 times but its no use. i have also noticed that when fraps is open, my firefox and some others programs crash. so it might be a compatibility issue. i changed the compatibility settings to XP, but oh well i will see if i can come up with a solution some way or the other!

its the frame rate first use fraps and have the fram hud on without recording then after you seen the frame rate set the rate of FPS to even the highst rate(plan B) or got the rate even under or over the rate since i dont use fraps that much now :/
