In MGS 3 you have Big Boss, as we call him in this Prequel. His code name before that title was "Naked" Snake, whom I respect the most. (I played MGS 3 first).

In MGS 4 you have Solid Snake again, made to resemble Big Boss (a joke from Kojima?) by having him wear the eyepatch.

Lastly, you have both PSP games MGS Portable OPS, and MGS PeaceWalker with Big Boss, Sequels to the Prequel MGS 3....

I agree with you 100% Games today only care about graphics and how good it appeals to the eye. One of my favourite games of all time is Broken Sword the original one - terrible graphics, terrible loading times, but one of the best story lines I have ever seen. I wouldn't say MGS2 and 4 are terrible, but I agree - MGS3 is my favourite. Not as good game play, but the story line is f-ing brilliant!
