You know what I don't get? Youtube was originally a place to explore, to laugh, to find out. It was a place where people could express themselves and know someone would listen. But now it's all one big competition, and people just want to become big, youtube stars. That'd be nice, I guess, but everyone is just so OBSESSED with it. People have stopped doing what they want and started doing whatever they can to impress the public. Thats why I like SxePhil and not Lisa Nova....

Chi City made a lot of good points and you do a good job supporting them.

It's sort of a lose lose situation though. On one hand it's crappy that popular accounts are constantly featured while others crawl and scratch for their meager 1000 views. However, Shay, LisaNova, etc. all quit their jobs in favor of their youtube accounts. If not for their features, they might have troubles paying bills. I know that's not "the point" of youtube, but it's something to ponder.

pretty much the only thing i did agree on was the fact that yes he had a point about not known youtubers getting any attention but the fact is youtube is huge and business is not a fair playground some kids are gonna be popular and some aren't. think about it like this how many videos are either pointless drole or just the same repetitive crap, youtube is flooded with useless shit and it's unfair that the good ones don't get air time but that just means youtube isn't the place for them. ^ Volume

He knows how to have fun, how to play around, but he knows what people want to talk about and want to see from him. ...I think thats a good way of putting it. See, Fred, in lamen's terms, is a corporate sell-out. When he started out, he was wholesome, he was funny, and people admired that. But then he turned into this big star, and as it turned out, he was one of those people who wanted more. He forced himself on TV, on iCarly, on Disney Channel, on things that he knew would make him popular. He just couldn't handle it. Same with NigaHiga, he was funny at first, but after he made the movie it went downhill.

If you're really /that/ good, people will eventually find you and there's a good chance you'll get popularity from word of mouth, which is how I found out about MrChiCity and his videos...
