tip for rocket! hold the trigger down for like 5 secs then you shoot multi rockets ( good for open maps)

@rss313 nope, sadly it was released in the same year as Quake III Arena, which hammered.. HAMMERED this wannabe Quake 2 game into dust. For your reference, google the video 'Get Quaked 3'.

@maxdamagus Your little hammering doesn't bother me, i've long ago delt with plenty of Q3 elitists. While that video is great, UT still let me have MORE FUN, with various modes , than did Q3, which is obvious the most pretty of the two, but UT99 still rules.

IMHO UT99 is still a sweet game. I like UT2k4 and III as well but this game is just outstanding for its age!

I used to have UT and Q3 in my PC years ago.

now I still have both of them haha!

if I want really fast deathmatch, I play Q3

if I want lots of stuff exploding and really nice weapons, I go for UT

I got a question. I've been playing UT'99/GOTY since it came out. I've been in a few clans and it's really the only game I ever play. I just recently installed it on a laptop running XP and I can play local games just fine. When I get online though, everything runs way fast and then I get stuck in this kind of video stutter. It will break loose and run fast again and then get stuck again!! Can anyone shed some light on this problem? THX in advance

Try restarting your computer and only running the game. I get that after closing UT2004 or UT3 and then going to 99

how do u vs others? i know i have to press escape to end up on that black unreal tournament screen and press alt or i think F4, but i cant seem to get on a map to vs others! I have to wait for ages and nothing happens! can u help me with this? THISGAMEISLEGEND! I hope 2 vs u one day.
