@MrDiegox255 My guess is, the portal to the past opened randomly to the planet as it was 65 million years ago, while they were experimenting, and the temporal scientists don't know how to change it to send people to a different time; it's has to be the Age of the Dinosaurs, or nothing. But you have to admit, if you wanted to produce a series like this, there's no period more exciting, to which colonists could be sent, than the Age of the Dinosaurs.

Any mammal larger than a rat did not survive the K-T event which killed off the dinosaurs and thus a human, let alone a large population, could survive. By sending them during the time of the dinosaurs they are at least granted a survivable odds, low but with the right resources they can survive.

Some people just can't think things thru. Yes the dinosaur killing asteroid will hit....in about 20 million yeas. It hit 65 million years ago not 85. Second a paradox probably wouldn't happen if it is an alternate Earth in the past. So, to sum things up they will have 20 million years to prepare for an Asteroid and by then who knows what will be going on. They might need to repeat the cycle all over before then anyways sending people back in time.

This looks really good, looks cinematic and real (except for the dinosaur shots and the zooming in on train shot). I really hope it does well. I think the highest this show can last is about 3 to 4 seasons (if Fox don't cancel it after 12 episodes). I don't expect the rest of the season to be as good as the pilot. The show is going to look really cheap after a few episodes. and then it's gonna get canceled. But best wishes anyway

The problem with putting a show 140 years into the future is that you have to account for at least SOME social changes not to end up completely idiotic. E.g. 140 years ago women were hidden indoors and expected to be ignorant and proper, and helped. But I see that on Fox, 140 years from now it's all the same as now. Only in Jurassic Park.

This reminds me of a show that was on awhile back now called Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World. I hope Terra Nova succeeds as much as that show did. I think it will thanks to improvements in cgi and a bigger budget, although Lost World proved to be good anyway, so lets hope the same goes for this
