How about you work with the dimensions in a more LEGO Mosaic format? To work with that format is far more accurate than working with it in a LEGO Brick piece stacking mode as most people make their LEGO video game things on YouTube and other places online. Also, try using LEGO Digital Designer sometime, too, mariorules27. It will go a long way into getting the right shades for your future Mario art.
