I have 13" tires on the back, you dudes can get stuff cheaper then we can get it for up here,I bought the same caliper in princess auto cost $70.00 plus tax the braket cost $15.00,I scored a set of rims the same as what you have but they came on a 40mm axel I think i can cut it in the middle and shorten it rather then getting keyways cut in it to keep the price down I enjoy you vids keep them coming P.S. I like the tires you picked
definitely still gonna slow-roast your ass, should put at least a bit of headerwrap under the seat... good progress though, can't wait to see it driving! :D
May I suggest rubber on the edge of the diamond plate? Kind of like that Chrome strip stuff for your car door edge, but they make it in rubber. I could see that edge being a problem if you were to ever wreck it.
@Fearlessfront Good job, didn't you mention it in the video.. Good progress so far! I watched part 14 yesterday, then watched and subbed streetlegalkarts. Have a good day fearlessfront.
i just thought i would say, i really dont like the exhaust mount, really, it should be flexible, to cope with the vibration, as you will feel a hell of alot through the seat. If you look at your cars exhaust mountings, theres little rubber bushes, i think if you could do a simple version of these, you would be a fair bit more comfortable, and it wouldnt rattle itself to pieces :p good work so far though :)
@Fearlessfront Yeah, i heard in your latest video your putting a new seat on it, its coming along nicely now, nearly down to the fine details really! And I do hope you get over your laryngitis or whatever it is, not nice feeling crappy :/ Take Care and Regards from the UK :)
i think instead of grinding the whole dimond off i think it would look nicer if you just drilled it with like a pilot bit and resese the head of the bolt better so that way you dont have all those grinding marks on it
@Fearlessfront well if you have a menards or homedepo or even tractor suply might have them too its the same bit you use when you counter sink a wood screw into wood ive used them before on softer metals before it works just fine
Hey great build I just came across your channel today and boy iv always wanted to build a racing cart but just not in the budget for me but anyway what if you bought some header wrap and wrapped the exhaust from the motor up to just the seat looks like a tight fit I'd hate to burn my leg on that!
Hey Todd, I got a Lincoln 110 mig welder for Christmas, along with a helmet, gloves, and spare parts. The welder looks a lot like yours. Any tips for starting out?
@NicksGarageDoor use lincoln electric brand wire! I get it at lowes... Flux core that is... if your gonna weld with gas (argon) then it's a little different
@Fearlessfront hey man i like to come down and meet u and mud run with u if u like to one cuz i like u to look at my mower and tell what i can to make it better so if u like to go ride one day on mowers one let me know
hey man when I'm marking difficult holes sometimes I use a new bolt in the hole, then line up the material and hit with a rubber mallet gently to mark the reverse side for drilling :D
Diamond plate is not cheap in anyway but alot of times I get tread plate alot cheaper than diamond plate from welding places and metal repair places which sells metal too..Plus I have a huge couple hundred acre steel place.. Good Job boss
I'm tuning the F out of a GX200 motor (genuine) and that valve cover you received in the mail looks like a GX160/GX200 cover, and yours looks like a GX390 cover (yours is a GX390 right?)
check my channel for future video updates to my go-kart videos, apparently youtube has a problem with sony vegas 10.0d and 1080p videos o.o
I'm going to make a go-kart frame myself as well :)
I would invest in some exhaust wrap from the header to the chrome just for insurance against burns. But its looking great man. What color are you going with paint wise?
@Fearlessfront AAAAHHHH LOL im getting ready to tear mine down for paint. its going to be a bright white with copper orange race strips and on the bottom of it will have blades of grass. ill send you pics when im done
@Fearlessfront hvlp. i had our local PPG auto paint mix me up some colors a few weeks back. just got the exhaust welded up and put on and i can listen to that 20HP twin engine idle all day LOL sounds like a harley (potato potato potato)
on the exhaust up by the motor... i noticed the bends u put from the chrome pipe up to the flange seem like they might come close to your leg. do they? if so u should definitely build some type of heat shield or something to guard your leg
As I was watching your video I noticed that where you put the bend in the exhaust that is gunna be right next to your knee when you sit down... might want to put a heat shield made out of mesh like how they do on a Semi's or on a dirt bike's muffler....... Hope this helps!

@Fearlessfront oh ok, cuase im trying to fix a old three wheeler up an the exhuast is rotted to nothing an didnt know if there was a easy way to make a flang
Great video fearless! I had the same problem. When I did my custom tractor I went to like 7 dif places for diamond sheeting and it cost me $40!!! I can't believe you paid $11 u got luckey man! If you don't mind making a review on your Lincoln electric welder. I really enjoy welding and would love to see you welder! If you can thx. Keep it up with this kart ! She's comming together real nice. WhT color r u going to paint her?
You did an excellent job on the exhaust and the diamond plate guards. I wouldn't have done anything different. Once concern I have is the harshness of the ride due to the small diameter tires and the amount of unsprung weight. You may find it necessary to install a bar spring like a Ford 8N seat spring or something similar to the pan seat to spring your bodyweight and greatly improve comfort though it would raise your center of gravity a little.

@MrChuckierogers I just started a new build on what seems to be a very rare yard king. (w/Fearlessfront) all you need is a riding lawn mower. I highly recomend you find somthing made by Murray Corp. They built their trators tuff. And the pulley setups are easy to work on. how ever steer clear of MTD's. that double pulley shit is just a headache. good luck can't wait to see what you come up with.
If you ever run into another problem like that again where you need to mark something with no room, here is what you can do to save time. I'll use the guards as an example. Brush on some yellow or a bright neon colored paint around the holes and push the diamond plate against it. Then make your mark with the marker and drill it out. Boom. Done. She's coming along great so far!

Fearless the belt needs as much air as possible to keep it cool that's why they never completely cover them, Belts will overheat and slip like it does on Artic cats so keep that belt uncovered as much as possible!!! also you need to put some wrap on that exhaust or put aluminum/ copper heat sinks on it to absorb heat that hood with the heat off the exhaust will fry that top end on that motor!!! Not to mention you crotch lol!!!!
I'm tired of people thinking I'm weird for not sitting in the house playing video games all day.. you All need to get a life and let fearless entertain us...I love the crawler man!!! I took my of 4c wheeler apart and built me a craftsman crawler.. they are cheaper to repair when broken...
I wish you people who don't like this stuff would mind you business.. We love fabricating metal in our back yards... There is nothing like having something built with your own 2 hands. So, please don't discourage fearless or anyone else for using their spare time to explore their talents!!!
well i like what u do with the mowers but how can u spend that much time on them and how long did u first start on them im 17 i know a little bit about mowers but how much dose it cost 2 get all the parts and gas and that stuff and do they really have mower racing as a sport ??? just let me know im all ways checking youtube 4 more up dates
on the pip i would put a heat gard on it kinda like whats on a ak47 to keep from burning ur hands if tuotched but only it would b for your legs an hers a vew more ideas build a back plat to surround the sproket and chain incas of mud or rain to help keep from rust issues and with the pip cut a piece out for it to barrly run out the back. an the last idea i got for you is take ur pipe cut a v in the tip and cum in with tow pipes an make a dual tip exast for it that would look fuckn cool as hell
@Fearlessfront tht was pretty good man it dont mater how old you are mowers r fun i got a 1995 f150 5.0 and a 1989 airens yt1138 stock tractor pull reply back to me with your email and ill send u some pics of the build <<< i spend 300 on a paint job for it
Other people have said it but exhaust wrap should be applied for safety. I also think a few decals or a racing stripe would look awesome. But all of that is finish work.
make a diamond plate chain guard, let me know when ur gona do stuff to the engine. cuz i seen this video where you can just drill the jets. ill have to find it, if not just go the affordablegokartparts and get a number 90 main jet and if you want more power get the GX140 Emulsion Tube with is another simple mod
@FastClones I've been looking at the "u build it" yellow clone from bmi, it's $209 and it has a bunch of stuff it comes with. cam, fuel pump, carb, forged shaft, top plate, ect..... thinkin about it... or I might invest in this one, not sure yet.
@Fearlessfront well im thinking that if you wanted to it would be cheaper to build the clone you have now, stick 200 bucks into that and make more tq and hp. like that cam is only 50 bucks, springs are 4 bucks each. bored carb is 85, but for 85 you can get the 22mm Mikuni which is way better. anything more than that you'd have to get billet rod and flywheel, which the billet flywheel and rod is where i would start. ill pm you a good starter kit
Love this racing mowing building vids! i would paint the frame black and the cab blue that would look sweet and some kind of awesome stickers on the side, cant wait to see it going!
you should get the chain guard rechromed and i would wrap the exhaust with dei exhaust wrap im doing that to my atv and dirt bike cause my legs always get burnt ur legs and ass are going to get burnt plus it looks cool if u wanted to just stop the wrap at the hanger so that u can still have the straight pipe look out the back.
hey man i think u should wrap the muffler pipe in header wrap i think that would look cool an realy racey as well keep yur leg from tuching it some how but header wrap would look bitchen wrap it from the mottor to like lil bit under the seat
wow really expensive were youre at i live in a industrial town and i can get a piece of diamond plate that size for $5.85. If ya do some research on your area you will find a metal dealer.
You should definitely put a front bumper on it at least to protect the frame. It would probably also be a good idea to have the bumper protect the wheels so you don't break your tie rod like I keep doing on my mud mower. The only downside to that is it would look funny.
maybe tecumseh valve cover

kinkfreebird96 2 months ago
on the pip i would put a heat gard on it kinda like whats on a ak47 to keep from burning ur hands if tuotched but only it would b for your legs an hers a vew more ideas build a back plat to surround the sproket and chain incas of mud or rain to help keep from rust issues and with the pip cut a piece out for it to barrly run out the back. an the last idea i got for you is take ur pipe cut a v in the tip and cum in with tow pipes an make a dual tip exast for it that would look fuckn cool as hell
SERIOUSMUDDING 2 months ago
on your diamond plate take a bigger drill bit in your bolt holes an sorta tapper them but be careful
fattypipemuarry 2 months ago
you should put a twin exhaust tip on the end of the pipe that would look sick!!!!!!!!

andysthefordman 2 months ago
@andysthefordman I have a lifted jeep... does that count?
And I "beat my mower" in the snow about 2 weeks ago...

You should invest in a plasma cutter, expensive but so much easier than a grinder.
brodie1709 2 months ago
already wanna see the next update... great job keep doing what youre doing
snowboarderman37 2 months ago
you need to put a piece of diamond over the belt just incase that thing decides to blow up so you might want to think about that.
megmow7 2 months ago
awesome

that exhaust is going to sound nice
andrew07kelly 2 months ago
Other people have said it but exhaust wrap should be applied for safety. I also think a few decals or a racing stripe would look awesome. But all of that is finish work.
darkseed1010 2 months ago in playlist More videos from Fearlessfront
the exhaust looks cool but your nuts might get bit warm lol
Mr4x4mudder 2 months ago
looks great dual exhaust would look amazing but looks really good
thezack2015 2 months ago
make a diamond plate chain guard, let me know when ur gona do stuff to the engine. cuz i seen this video where you can just drill the jets. ill have to find it, if not just go the affordablegokartparts and get a number 90 main jet and if you want more power get the GX140 Emulsion Tube with is another simple mod
FastClones 2 months ago
@FastClones I've been looking at the "u build it" yellow clone from bmi, it's $209 and it has a bunch of stuff it comes with. cam, fuel pump, carb, forged shaft, top plate, ect..... thinkin about it... or I might invest in this one, not sure yet.
Fearlessfront 2 months ago
@Fearlessfront well im thinking that if you wanted to it would be cheaper to build the clone you have now, stick 200 bucks into that and make more tq and hp. like that cam is only 50 bucks, springs are 4 bucks each. bored carb is 85, but for 85 you can get the 22mm Mikuni which is way better. anything more than that you'd have to get billet rod and flywheel, which the billet flywheel and rod is where i would start. ill pm you a good starter kit
FastClones 2 months ago
Love this racing mowing building vids! i would paint the frame black and the cab blue that would look sweet and some kind of awesome stickers on the side, cant wait to see it going!
TheBackyardMechanics 2 months ago
like u might have seen in other comments u need some exaust wrap and maby some heat wrap to put under your seat or by your legs.
Ub3rGam3rz 2 months ago 8
That exhaust looks pretty awesome dude!!
TheGreasemonkey34 2 months ago
Heat shield for your nuts probably a good idea.
GrandCaravanSE 2 months ago
for paint you should do bright floresent colors like neon yellow and orange.
kale9898 2 months ago
the onley thing is yer nuts might get a little toasty haha
dottiestoltzfus 2 months ago 7
Nice! Why not put a small heat shield on that curved part of the exhaust? Just a little something to keep your leg from touching it.
JimmyFarina97 2 months ago
you should make a muffler gaurd with some of that left over diamond plate..
MowingForLife 2 months ago
you should get the chain guard rechromed and i would wrap the exhaust with dei exhaust wrap im doing that to my atv and dirt bike cause my legs always get burnt ur legs and ass are going to get burnt plus it looks cool if u wanted to just stop the wrap at the hanger so that u can still have the straight pipe look out the back.
Vince
VModselectronics 2 months ago
hey man i think u should wrap the muffler pipe in header wrap i think that would look cool an realy racey as well keep yur leg from tuching it some how but header wrap would look bitchen wrap it from the mottor to like lil bit under the seat
schark30 2 months ago
@schark30 Yes, this is a a good idea. Wrap the exhaust in header wrap. Would look sick
JDeckin1296 2 months ago
now your ass and leg are gunna burn
smokey1858 2 months ago
It's gonna suck when ur left leg gets burnt by that exhaust.
johnclarkeiop97 2 months ago
you need a heat shield for your exhaust in the front by your leg
MrEagels2 2 months ago
r you gunna have a test run before you paint it?

@roskamate Yes, definetly!

NWCC08 2 months ago
Hey fearless you could always use that tank he sent you as a second tank
MrMudbogger4life 2 months ago
wow really expensive were youre at i live in a industrial town and i can get a piece of diamond plate that size for $5.85. If ya do some research on your area you will find a metal dealer.
V8Mike93 2 months ago
@V8Mike93 yeah, that was the cheapest place I can go... and thats after driving for almost an hour
Fearlessfront 2 months ago
Next time use some chewing gum on back of the diamond plate to locate those mount holes. When do you think this project will be done?
jasonmushersee 2 months ago
I think u should re crome the chane gard and exast
meoff1969 2 months ago
this stuff makes me want to build another mower !
SkidmoreRacing 2 months ago
@SkidmoreRacing I like building more then I do riding!
Fearlessfront 2 months ago
dont knock down the welds it weakins the frame
demoman89 2 months ago
You should definitely put a front bumper on it at least to protect the frame. It would probably also be a good idea to have the bumper protect the wheels so you don't break your tie rod like I keep doing on my mud mower. The only downside to that is it would look funny.
cjsautomotives 2 months ago
Paint it the same blue as before but with matt black and chrome
