  • I put a 2200kv motor on it and it zips

  • I built this plane and it flies good. do you think i could make some wider ailerons for better 3d and it would still fly good?

  • nice --- looking forward to the build

  • hey mike could you do a tutorial on a begginer rc plane for a cheap price please!!!

  • Would an Outrunner 370 brushless work with 2 cell?

  • @peroxidal Maybe but it wouldn't be very fast.

  • @MikeysRC have you ever Ponderd if you made a plane of cardboard

  • Where'd you get those 'adjustable fittings' for the servos and control rods and control horns please? They seem to be made of brass I think. And can they be screwed into servo arm holes? Thanks man

  • @Jonathunor They are called push rod connectors. I use to sell them so I had a bunch left over but you can buy them from any hobby shop.

  • @MikeysRC thanks for the quick reply!

  • @Jonathunor No prob if you more great help like that you can join my form.

  • where do you buy your electronic stuff mikey ?

  • @TheAgentKoala Most from hobbypartz (D0T) com and some rchotdeals (D0T) com

  • @MikeysRC ok tank you :D.

  • Hey I was wondering how do you cut your angles so smooth? Every time I try it I mess up pretty bad.

  • @9nl Just lot's of practice, a VERY sharp fresh blade and holding it at an angle so the blade is angled towards the cutting direction.

  • @MikeysRC Oh, ok thank you.

  • @9nl You can buy bevel cutter then you have *90 or *45 cutting, very nice and straight.

  • Tip for everyone. You can get inexpensive wire for ailerons and elevons from Michaels or a flower shop. Floral stem wire is 16 gauge 18" wire that is very strong but gives crisp "z" bends. It's very straight and costs 1.69 for a package of 12. The product is from a company called Panacea and the item # is 561618. Google it if you are curious. It will save you time trying to straighten a spool of wire.

  • @MikeysRC allright your really one of favourites on youtube a suscribed aswell.... But my question is can i make a smaller body and put the motor and engine on it so its atleast big enough to control on the road or park and backyard.. PLEASE REPLY

  • @antonopa1 I'm not sure I understand your question. Why would you want the plane to go ont he road?

  • Hi mikey im making ur plane and wanted to know what size prop adapter I needed

  • @integraracing14 Well if you are using the motor I used hobbypartz has it listed as a 4.0MM Shaft diameter:F4.0mm but what I'd do is wait till you get the motor then take it toyour local hobby shop and get one the right size to be sure.

  • Ok Will, Im going to make this plane:) can I put the hobbyking transmitter on this plane?? I sended u a link to it:)

  • please make them free

  • @falldownsnow It's only $6.99 for the plans. That's a very small fraction of the cost of all the electronics.

  • @RCschuback Plans are already done. Click on the link to go to my site and get them. They are only $6.99 for TWO versions of the plans. That's more value than others selling plans. O and mine have how to build videos =).

  • what kind of wire did u use to make those pushrods? Your a genius mikey

  • @mmmbcn at about 9:35 min. into the video I show you exactly what I use.

  • how much is 5 inch in cm lol

  • Awesome! I've been waiting for these plans, can't wait to try it out.

  • Thank! This was a great video. Nice little tips all over the place from a veteran.

Btw, who else thinks that they should produce little servo covers. It sure would cut down on drag for very little extra weight.

  • @Nomoreidsleft Hey thanks. Yeah the servo covers are a good idea.

  • really nice.. i cant wait to try it out... do u keep paper on the foam board? or take it off

  • @pistolpetepeterson keep the paper on the foam board.

  • Great job! I was having build video withdrawals :)

  • what glue is best to use for these foam projects?

  • @TokkenNinja I prefer hot glue. quick cure and slightly flexible too.

  • looks verry nice man

you also used some new techniquesyou keep improving keep up the good work

  • What kind of remote controller do you recommend that is a cost effective one.?

  • @Raylep1 go to hobbypartz dot com and look for transmitters and they have a programable one for about $40.

  • ok found foam board at wal mart mut it 5mm

  • can u use 5mm foam on ur planes?

  • @justfly60482 you mean 5mm depron?? I wouldn't use depron on this plane. I use foam board that's about 3/16 inch thick from the Dollat Tree stores.

  • can't wait for the plans. what power setup will be used?

  • @mtbRAF click on "Show More" tab under the video and all the info on the plane including links to the parts I used are there so you can buy exactly what U used.

  • @MikeysRC I have a spare 5x5 prop, 2200kv motor with matching 30a esc, lying in my shed doing nothing... will that be an ok combo for this plane? I guess it won't go as fast, but will it still be flyable?

  • @mtbRAF Yeah that should work fine. I use a 6X4 on my 2200KV 47 gram motor so a 5X5 should work ok. 30 amps should be enough with that combo on a 3 cell.

  • Oh that scale check is excellent!!!!

  • good build video when are the plans going to be posted on your site?

  • @larz0001 very soon.

  • i dont understand my friend has a nitro car and it costs about a quarter of the price of a nitro heli and some electric helis cost more than it wtf

  • Awsome video - and nothing wrong with the quality - please ignore the previous comment- I am willing to bet he has never even posted a video before -(dunno why some people must always find fault)

  • too bad u used a low quality cam :( good vid though :)

  • @oli5120 what? it's in 720p!

  • @schraut5 he watched it while it was processing ;)

  • @oli5120 watch now, video is done processing

  • @oli5120 Try watching the video again it has completed processing and is now in HD for ya =).

  • @MikeysRC its in hd now!!! thnx for the info =)
