Where'd you get those 'adjustable fittings' for the servos and control rods and control horns please? They seem to be made of brass I think. And can they be screwed into servo arm holes? Thanks man
Tip for everyone. You can get inexpensive wire for ailerons and elevons from Michaels or a flower shop. Floral stem wire is 16 gauge 18" wire that is very strong but gives crisp "z" bends. It's very straight and costs 1.69 for a package of 12. The product is from a company called Panacea and the item # is 561618. Google it if you are curious. It will save you time trying to straighten a spool of wire.
@MikeysRC allright your really one of favourites on youtube a suscribed aswell.... But my question is can i make a smaller body and put the motor and engine on it so its atleast big enough to control on the road or park and backyard.. PLEASE REPLY
@integraracing14 Well if you are using the motor I used hobbypartz has it listed as a 4.0MM Shaft diameter:F4.0mm but what I'd do is wait till you get the motor then take it toyour local hobby shop and get one the right size to be sure.
@RCschuback Plans are already done. Click on the link to go to my site and get them. They are only $6.99 for TWO versions of the plans. That's more value than others selling plans. O and mine have how to build videos =).
@mtbRAF click on "Show More" tab under the video and all the info on the plane including links to the parts I used are there so you can buy exactly what U used.
@MikeysRC I have a spare 5x5 prop, 2200kv motor with matching 30a esc, lying in my shed doing nothing... will that be an ok combo for this plane? I guess it won't go as fast, but will it still be flyable?
@mtbRAF Yeah that should work fine. I use a 6X4 on my 2200KV 47 gram motor so a 5X5 should work ok. 30 amps should be enough with that combo on a 3 cell.
Awsome video - and nothing wrong with the quality - please ignore the previous comment- I am willing to bet he has never even posted a video before -(dunno why some people must always find fault)
I put a 2200kv motor on it and it zips

I built this plane and it flies good. do you think i could make some wider ailerons for better 3d and it would still fly good?

Hey I was wondering how do you cut your angles so smooth? Every time I try it I mess up pretty bad.
9nl 3 months ago
@9nl Just lot's of practice, a VERY sharp fresh blade and holding it at an angle so the blade is angled towards the cutting direction.
MikeysRC 3 months ago
@MikeysRC Oh, ok thank you.
9nl 3 months ago
@9nl You can buy bevel cutter then you have *90 or *45 cutting, very nice and straight.

Thank! This was a great video. Nice little tips all over the place from a veteran.
Btw, who else thinks that they should produce little servo covers. It sure would cut down on drag for very little extra weight.
Nomoreidsleft 10 months ago
@Nomoreidsleft Hey thanks. Yeah the servo covers are a good idea.

can u use 5mm foam on ur planes?
justfly60482 10 months ago
@justfly60482 you mean 5mm depron?? I wouldn't use depron on this plane. I use foam board that's about 3/16 inch thick from the Dollat Tree stores.
