  • Maybe your a hairless ape. I,m not. I,m a child of God.

  • This should be required by all large scale animal farmers...and those ponds need a methane trapping turbines for power!

  • so youre cows dont get to see the light of day for most of the day, WD to youre cruel practice

  • good job i like how they are doing the process in a cycle

  • omg i can't believe he picked up that cow manure like it was a fine wine with his ungloved hands 3:08 WOW

  • Forterra Environmental Corp in Toronto does something very similar. They convert decomposed organic matter to create a top-grade product that restores the soil through organic enrichment. Further processing of the decomposed matter to create worm castings takes 15 DAYS. Further, this is accomplished in an indoor environment that USES A FRACTION OF THE SPACE required by outdoor operations, allowing for strict quality control.

  • Thank goodness youtube has not implemented "Smell-O-Vision" technology. as for the Worm farms, great stuff these worm castings.

  • I don't think so high tech and from cows is the way to go. Cow manure only about as polluted as using our own

  • @ 5:44 That's what she said.

  • if that farm was clean and ran "naturally" those cows legs wouldn't be covered in mud and dirt,,,,,,,,,,, and in that mess of course you need antibiotics ,,, disease and bacteria would run rampant

back to basics farming,,, and local not mass production "factory farms"

  • The only prob I see; it was mentioned that these Cows eat corn. This corn is probably GMO corn. Cows aren't suppose to eat corn anyways.

  • I have too imagine that the S*** he is scrapping down the drain smells great! I love farms.

  • @ssutunti sonnyboy? are you 80? what crawled up your ass. worms?

they say right in the clip he gets his manure from "Coin farms" Dairy farm. notice all those cows, crammed into a factory-farm warehouse. if that's what passes as "organic", McDonald's must be considered health-food now...

move along Sheeple. nothing to see here...

  • @tribalwind a darry farm thet he owens

  • the worms . theyre making pies . beautiful . jewish . pies . STOP IT!!! i have noo septuuuuuummm . thats why THEY are stealing our resources , i just CAN'T fertilize my bran with no resources now can i ? NO! well i trusted you with my trust fund I TRUSTED YOUUUUU!!!! can someone avenge me please? just do it , avenge mee. moo , said the cow ( thats what she said ). stfu ... PANTS . its what im NOT wearing right now...PANTS...my baby someone save my baby!!! the baby is a lie...butt-penis...

  • Yeah, it's cool and environmental and all, but FOR GOD'S SAKE, QUIT TOUCHING IT!

  • looks very large scale.needing lots of power to run.smaller units probably will be more efficient.good work anyway.keep it up.

  • worm castings are amazing for growing marijuana!!!!

  • Poorly shot video. All this flashing from scene to scene. It's like watching wrestling. Also, the constant shots of that cow shitting aren't all that attractive.

  • not organic in my view, these aren't grass-fed pastured animals. these imprisoned factory dairy cows are probably being fed GMO Corn etc(and dead cow) plus all the antibiotics, hormones and other drugs .which is then fed to worms. does all that bad stuff go away just because it passed through a worm? i doubt it.

Vermiculture is wonderful, but call a spade a spade.this VC has got to be contaminated dont you think?. i dont want that in my garden/veggies/body.

  • @tribalwind Go see his production facility you talk son.

  • @tribalwind Go see how he RAISES his own cows at his production facility before you talk sonny boy.

  • This is a great resource for my science project, thanks ALOT!

  • I'm sorry, but, besides the vermicomposting, I consider that that Shit lagoon is heavily stupid!!! Why not anaerobicaly ferment it and gain methane and More fertilizer? The methane could power the whole plant... This way not a drop will be wasted, for sure!

  • @Kaastn Because he said he already uses that shit lagoon to fertilize & grow more cow feed.

  • @Kaastn I agree totally. Methane off the slurry is cheap for this operation especially since no hauling is needed from outside sources on the input side of things.

  • dont even think about reusing human feces lol

  • dude he put his hands in extruded cow shit!!! use a shovel not your hands!!!

  • lol fat dumb and happy....

  • dude, you should be on DIRTY JOBS!

  • @MrJimbobwae there was a dirty jobs where he went to a big worm farm. I think it was one of the first episodes.

  • wow good video

  • Seems like a lot of energy and electricity is used during this process.

  • food and sex go perfect together

  • Is this final product usable in organic agriculture- here in europe as an organic farmer I can use compost/manure from either animals that are themselves certified organic, or from extensive grazed animals. Not however from intensive CAFO raised beasts, does the vermiculture process break down the chemical inputs from the beats outputs (as it were)?

  • *NOTE*

Anything from the history channel is skewed offbase information.

They make NO mention of the importance of ingredients that go into worm compost.

Just watching the vid , they omit the difference of good verses bad elements that yield the same compost types. Synthetic GMO fed cow - manuer gives tainted chemical laden composts. Typical public channel info sources.

  • this good stuff! very helpful!

  • i am starting a worm farm. I am going to start selling the Fertilizer on ebay :) i am going to be making a'lot of money i hope.

  • my dad has been doing this in mexico for the past 2 years....really effective on crops. problme is we do it manually. No machines involved lol

  • hi, i'm one of the worm casting student. this technology is a great for human and earth

  • This guy has stolen an idea from an Australian Company called Sunburst Biotechnologies which are situated in Hong Kong now. Notice the FAN unit squeeze press, this was used by Sunburst and the presses's where made in Millicent, SA.

  • thanks for posting this vid

  • well poo

  • what a cliffhanger at the end

  • this was awsome,good stuff

  • dont cows produce methane when they poop?

  • Every animal does.

  • worms are awesome when it comes to providing a natural fertiliaer 100% organic

  • I have acarus, or mites, in my worm bin.

They don´t hurt the worms, I think, but they eat the food.

Do I have to get rid of them? How?

    Thanks 4 your answers

  • 1ebric

the mites and acarus are a natural part of the decomposition and there is no need to worry about them. i keep my worm bin outside because sometimes when i open it i will have fruit flys. the mites will eventually die off. you may have too much moisture in your bin. if you keep your bin a little drier it will incurage reproduction and a larger worm population.

  • Thanks man, this video"As the worms turn", but she sais that you can keep fruit flies under control by placing beer in a jar, covering it with a plasitc bag, and cutting a small hole in the corner in a way that the flies can get inside, but can't get out.

when I have fruit flies, I cover everithing with dry leaves, but I've even had the fly larvae in my bin, don't like that at all, so I left the bin to get drier, and what you say is true, the worm population grows, greetings from Mexico

  • thanks for the beer tip. we go to cancun/ playa del carmen every year. i know you are having a blast.

  • Check what kind of mites are. The white and brown mites don't harm the worms however if you do this as bussiness it will cost you time and resources due they compite for food and oxygen. Now, the red mites are parasitic, they attach to the worms and eggs to suck their fluids. If you have high mites populations it means is too wet or overfed. To get rid of them low the moist level and place moistened newspaper on top, the mites will go there, then remove the paper and repeat the process.Saludos

  • MmMmM....apple cider.....

  • That's good use of natural resources!

  • This is good capitalism...

  • Yum.
