  • This is my first time wathcing this great fight, after it having been recommeded to me for months. And it did not disappoint, one fo the greatest light-heavyweight fights of all time. It was one of the most entertaining fights of all time and both fighters showed the hearts and courage they both had. Spectacular 14 rounds of boxing!

  • Thank you for the original broadcast. This is when boxing was on netowrk tv, a great era.

  • The announcer who interviewed Lopez after the fight was a pig.

  • What amazes me is that this upload, on here for 16+ months, of one of the most memorable fights from one of the most memorable fighters in one of the most memorable decades in boxing history, has so few views. Voted the fight of 1980 by Ring magazine.

  • Lopez tried to win by a mile against Saad. At that point against Saad, you couldn't do that. Yaqui would have been better served following Braxton's strategy, a patient, unrelenting attack. However, this fight was Saad's Manila. By 1981, Saad was struggling to beat Vonzell Johnson and Murray Sutherland, two wannabes who wouldn't have survived Lopez in a sparring session.

  • I guess Yaqui had simply spent himself completely in that amazing round 8. By the end he had just stopped throwing entirely. Great fight.

  • thanks for the entire fight!
