@kemptonjones I did only on windy days on the lakes...so the boat would blow away from me if I fell out. But never when I was paddling whitewater...would be a major hazard.
Stand Up Canoeing is the way to go if you're into SUP and want to take a multi-day paddling trip. Paddling in the standing position allows for a larger stroke range, more power to your strokes (also a full body work out), you can see further ahead and into the water, and it's FUN! For multi-day trips, you can load up all your gear and go for days...or weeks!
