People... THIS IS a Biathlon Rifle. Note the caddy for the ammo on the forearm. This is the entry-level model from Anschutz, not in the current catalog, but it can be special-ordered. The higher-grade (and much more expensive) Biathlon rifles have a Fortner straight-pull action and different stock. This is NOT the model 64 MPR. We added a scope to use it for the "Rimfire Tactical" discipline -- not Biathlon. But the m64R IS the Anschutz affordable Biathlon rifle.
@AccurateShooter On the Fortner model it is a speed bolt and if you are looking for a similar rifle to the Forter for half the price look at the Izhmash biathlon 7-4 model it is a .22 cal and has all the same fetures as the model 64 and the Fortner. I have shot all three and the Russian Izhmash is my favorite. So if your looking at a Fortner Rilfe try the izhamsh because the only time the Fortner out shoots the izhamsh is below -35 degrees Celcius so try out the Izhamash
Beautiful piece of hardware. For $1380.00 it had better be. IMHO, a Ruger 77/22 bolt action+Lilja Barrel+Lapua Match ammo would match the Annie's accuracy, and cost $500.00 less.
G'day would you be able make a video of the Anschutz Model 64,at the range in the standing and prone position also showing how it groups on the target. thanks
its nice but my custom sr22 can hit same hole at 100 yards it far out shoots me
