Although I have no sympathy for the guy, I do actually agree with what he's saying. Ending a prisoners life is like ending their punishment... they won't feel anything anymore. They won't suffer for what they did. It's the family of the convicted and the victim that continue to suffer, and I don't think that's right.

Although I have no sympathy for the guy, I do actually agree with what he's saying. Ending a prisoners life is like ending their punishment... they won't feel anything anymore. They won't suffer for what they did. It's the family of the convicted and the victim that continue to suffer, and I don't think that's right.

@lostindiancamp actually not everyone facing this method of execution is guilty. even if only 1% of people executed were innocent, that's reason enough not to use a very inhumane procedure to kill them. they deserve least of all to be in excruciating pain while paralyzed as can happen as a result of this method, and for that 1% if there is no guaranteed quick and clean way of doing things it should not be done.

In fact only a very little part of the sentenced are normal people. In other words, it's not their fault, they committed theirs crime. And I a few rare cases, they have been innocent. Also a black person a 4 times more likely to get executed. Is that faire? And doesn't the death penalty make you just as bad a murder as the convict?

If it was not for the mistakes that we all have seen being made with the death-penalty i would agree to it. When you are unemployed, then although the unemployment rate may be only say 2%, to you personally it is 100%. So when people say there is "only the odd mistake" regarding the death penalty then if it is YOUR butt that they are coming to escort to the death chamber then there is no odd mistake but a total disaster to you if you KNOW you are innocent.
