  • This happens everday with my oscars

  • filter?

  • @yourmusicist Origionally i had a Fluval 405 canister external, but the plastic cover part inside broke, Now i have an Aqua One 1050, also a sponge filter and an old cotten bubbler. The internal filters you see in this video are no longer in use.

  • I hate when my fish fight like this, which is like all the time. Damn assholes.

  • @kindabizarre I seperated these Two so many times, added and removed other fish just to keep the peace. Its hard to find that perfect "balance" in any tank, especially with fish that are agressive. Ive got a small convict in there at the moment that takes away some attention from eachother, his small and they want to eat him, but his far too fast to catch. Also the Albino Oscar now nearly full size starting to show he wants some personal space. Share the ware and tear and there is less stress.

  • @Dragon8or1 I have a convict too, along with a Jack Dempsey (big mistake). My Oscars aren't that big so there hasn't been a real problem yet but if they do get bigger, I'm gonna have to make a choice as to which ones I wanna get rid of. My tank is also too small for the types of fish I have. But what the hell do I do with fish I don't want? lol pet stores won't buy them, right?

  • @kindabizarre It can be really hard at times to choose but the tanks have to find some sort of balance, stressed fish are never a good thing. If you have the time and money a larger tank for the larger fish would be cool, then you can keep them all. But if not, in most Pet stores they will exchange or swap fish for something or you can sell them online, if your really generous free to a good home is better then down the toilet.

  • how big of a tank? and how long did they take to grow to that size? I have 1 and he's like 2-3 inches

  • @eleventhsun My tank if my math is correct, is a 400 Ltr Tank. Oscars took nearly 2 years to get to full size, but i believe what and how much you feed them effects there growth alot as well as tank conditions. Ive recently added a Albino Oscar to the tank and his doing well, had in seperate tank for a while till big enough. He grew very fast i think because he was fed regularly and in a healthy water. Live food is good also, but got to be carefull where you get it from.

  • @Dragon8or1 sweet, thanks for the info bro. Mine is a baby, he's alone in my 10 gallon (i know too small) but he's being moved into a 70+ gallon tank that I'm getting from my aunt. Just asking because I didn't want to have him explode to that size in a month haha.

  • need to keep rearranging the tank that way the big one wont be so dominating. Try to get that smaller oscar some protection, plants rocks something for him to hide in. Nice looking fish mate

  • @doloug Very good advice, appreciated! We have recently added some plants a Ship wreck and several rocks and a new fish to mix up there social life a little haha. So now he mostly attacks me when im cleaning the tank.

  • did they grow up together or recently introduce?

  • @DoeBoi2525 They grew up together but the previous owner had them in a very dirty tank, maybe because they can actually see eachother there more aggro. Its getting really bad they recently broke there light, not sure how to fix the problem i havent got a seperate tank.
