I have downloaded an analysed the video at slow rate and examined frame by frame.

Prior to the explosion, his head indeed swelled up and his eyeballs popped out. I have no idea how they created such a special effect taking this was an old video. How did the head disappear and the background wasn't affected?

It might be fake because:

1. No blood splurting

2. Fiery explosion?

the boat had an exploding capsule wich is supposed to be on the other side of the hose, and when you start to inflate, it explodes. Poor dad put it wrong, and when the boy jump on the boat, the air pressure made the end of the hose explode.
