@jennifer683 Well, It can be taken different ways, but I'll tell you what I got from the song.

A girl (Miku) believes that the world outside is boring, and nothing ever changes. She begins to wonder if suicide is the best option, because she believes it will help her find the "thing" she is looking for, which I assume is something new and exciting that would make her life meaningful again... That's somewhat what I got the first time reading the subbed version. I hope this helped!

I love this song so much. I have PMDD, and when I get depressed for no reason because of it, I listen to this. This song just cheers me up. I wasn't surprised when I found the translation cuz you can just feel what the song is about. I just love it so much. :)

@VocaLenLove Uh, but i think she didn't die in the end. At the part where she looked like she jumped down, she was merely contemplating something like, "If i suicide, would my heart lighter(better)?"

The character was finding a purpose in her life, in the monochrome(tedious) world she feels she is living in. The purpose is represented by the 'thing' and her life, the 'boundless road'.

Also, when she saw the colour of the boundless sky it became her meaning in life, thus, becoming more positive.
