The last line-up with Doug and Reb are the best Whitesnake line-up ever. That's my opinion.

See what i like about Doug is that he plays Sykes very well, and Reb plays Vai/Vandeberg very well. But they just aint the same so im gonna have to disagree that theyre the best. Id have to say when Syke's was in the band that was when Whitesnake was at its best.

I am going to have to agree with you there amigo. I am huge fans of Vai, Sykes, Reb Beach and Dough Aldrich. Come on they are all some of the best rock/metal players of all time. Sykes on the other hand IS Whitesnake.  He wrote ALL of the classic Whitesnake songs. Check the credits, but unfortunately there are very few live performances with him so from that standpoint, Beach/Aldrich is the best touring band Coverdale ever put together.

I think Bearnie Marsden and Micky Moody was the greatest guitarists in Whitesnake. That was the beginning. And then there were John Sykes, they couldn't remain blues forever.

Yes Whitesnake always had the best guitarists around. But in my opinion, Doug and Rep fit best in Whitesnake. They are both fantastic axemen.
