Many years ago Rotherham had a wide range of shops that created a busy bustling town centre. Sadly over the years the inability of both the Councillors and town planners have led directly to the demise of the town. For example, look what they have done in Doncaster to keep the town alive. i'm also from rotherham, a great big house on moorgate road. i think this video is real funny and sums up most of rotherham. thankfully i dont live there anymore but i will always defend it. i had many happy years growing up there. i just stayed out of town in the evenings and never ventured into a park after dark. that would be fatal.

I'm originally from Rotherham and this is funny. It's no real dig at Rotherham per se as all the gags would have worked equally with pretty much any mid-sized town in the UK, especially industrial ones. Clarkson just uses Rotherham because he used to live there and he's originally from Doncaster.
