Alright, here's a bit of crossover info. I watched the whole thing on ESPNU. At the end, they showed highlights of Miami's success. What caught my eye was a clip where a defensive tackle, #94 D. Johnson, creamed the quarterback of what I think is UCLA. DT #94 D. Johnson didn't make it in football, but he did in the entertainment industry. Ladies and gentlemen, that was Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. He had a decent career, but in his freshman and senior years he tore his ACL, and wasn't drafted.

My teams play fair...play between the whistle....play by the rules.....we don't trash talk....and we don't get unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. If I have a player who does that...he will be watching from the sidelines. You...like many guys...try to "justify" your unsportsmanlike actions. That doesn't make it right. Play hard. Play by the rules...and win. Real simple.

Unsportsmanlike conduct at any level should not be tolerated. I've sat kids(good kids) entire halfs of football games for unsportsmanlike conduct. The coach sets the culture of the team. Miami was great 20 years ago but they were not a team I would ever want to emulate. Good day!
@knightguy11 the sad part is that those players have to live with those decisions though they thought it was cool at the moment. The good thing that came out of miami is the fact that some of their former players are great players in the nfl and have great character. Those decisions in the film hinders any good perception of some of the greats that come from an institution like Miami.

Miami was the team of the 80's. That is for sure but why didn't the documentary show Alabama whipping Miami in the Sugar Bowl in 1992 for the national championship and ending the Miami Dynasty. I remember watching that game and Alabama beat them by 30 points. Miami hasn't been the same since.

We got free tickets to every home UM game that year. As a 15 yr old I was sitting with the recruits....pretty cool. I'm a UCF graduate and my wife is a Gator. We love college football and travel the state watching games. Not sure what a documentary has to do with a college being good or bad? strange.

USC ruled in the 1940s and 50s when they played nobody. Notre Dame never ruled anything, Seminoles sucked even more. Teams like Pitt and Clemson and Texas were in their hey day but not anymore. OU, Alabama and LSU are probably the only teams to say that in 20 years they have been a top 5 team in 15 of theose 20 years.

I've been a fan of all three(UF, FSU, UM) since I was a kid, so I'm not a bandwagon fan. I've been a fan of all three for 30+ years. Not sure how that is considered in any way a "bandwagon" fan. USC, Stanford, Notre Dame,Syracuse, Vanderbilt, Baylor, Boston College, Duke, Northwestern, Wake Forest, These schools don't cry about being private. The rest of those schools just have history and are now irrelevant. Stanford is not in a big city while USC has an enrollment nearly 3 times the size of miami, and has been playing in the stadium adjacent the campus since the 20's. Its alot easier to start a tradition if all you have to do is walk across the street. any others?

You do realize that UM was horrible pre 1980 right? 8 bowls from 1926-1980(3-5), no bowls from 1967-1980, record for the 1970's was 41-66. USC ruled in the 1940s and 50s when they played nobody. Notre Dame never ruled anything, Seminoles sucked even more. Teams like Pitt and Clemson and Texas were in their hey day but not anymore. OU, Alabama and LSU are probably the only teams to say that in 20 years they have been a top 5 team in 15 of theose 20 years.

@TheAntigator I love my UCF Knights(send them a Alumni check every year, lol) we just follow the Gators much more. My wife is a Florida Alum. Anyway, you are entitled to your opinion. Canes have won 5 NC's and I'm very proud of that. It does get old to hear fans like you who live in the past though. Princeton has 28 NC's...is that relevant? I've been a fan of all three(UF, FSU, UM) since I was a kid, so I'm not a bandwagon fan. I've been a fan of all three for 30+ years. Not sure how that is considered in any way a "bandwagon" fan. Unless I've been on the "bandwagon" for 30 years, lol. My brother was recruited by Schnellenberger and we got tickets to all the games in 1981. I was 15. Sorry buddy!

USC, Stanford, Notre Dame,Syracuse, Vanderbilt, Baylor, Boston College, Duke, Northwestern, Wake Forest, These schools don't cry about being private. @knightguy11 Notre Dame, USC and Stanford have been playing at the top level for the better part of a century so they have had a long time to build fan bases and history. The rest of those schools just have history and are now irrelevant. Stanford is not in a big city while USC has an enrollment nearly 3 times the size of miami, and has been playing in the stadium adjacent the campus since the 20's. Its alot easier to start a tradition if all you have to do is walk across the street. any others?

We got free tickets to all the UM home games. I was 14 or 15. Anyway he ended up playing QB at Middle Tennessee St. I played DB at UCF and I earned my degree from UCF.
