@407buddy Not a bad idea. I'm considering not paying my income tax. Not in a protest mode but a dragging my feet manner. If I could do this timely, I could settle up with the IRS when hyperinflation is in full swing @ pennies on the dollar. Problem is timming. If I did it too soon, I would be in a mess.
@RoyalRook You are justified to be scared. This stuff is for real.. and its not the nutbags saying it anymore... its just starting to go mainstream.... and then the panic will really hit.
interesting note...google says 41,900,000 hits for collapse of america and only about 9,100,000 for collapse of the dollar...chew on that for a minute...
I have a masters degree and in a "secure" career field. When banking collapsed in the fall of 08 the company i worked for closed. There are so many qualified people looking for work in my field that higher educated experienced people cannot even get an interview. They are actually hiring non licensed non credentialed folks on government grants over experienced people.
yes..because they are cheaper...and i cannot negotiate a lower salery due to state regulations.. Im a teacher with a "highly qualified " licensure a Masters +45 credential , 10 years classroom experience working with emotionally disturbed kids...I have excellent evaluations ...but school systems can hire 2 new teachers or 3 non credentialed wanna be teachers for the same salary....and thats what they re doing..I want folks to have jobs..but geesh what am i supposed to do?
@centervilletn If the private business has a hard time.. it stays open longer and offers more service. If the government is in trouble it does work furlows.. shuts down 3 times a month on Fridays and hires morons.
That's happening to all fields. I fight them off because non credentialed folks can't get the job done. Were I work? It will make the company bankrupt.
But they will do it anyway, one day. They know the only way to do this is to get rid of me. And that is fine. Humans only need food and water to live. No money is needed if you can grow your own.
im lucky i own my home and we live in a very rurul community close to my siblings and parents...we are able to feed ourselves...i grow a very large garden, we have pasture for cattle and ponds for fish...we wont starve and will be eating steak while others are inline waiting for government cheese...
I worked residential treatment for kids with severe emotional and behavioral problems. The company i worked for closed due to parents inability to borrow money to send their kids for help.
@centervilletn: you should be setting up a community. power in numbers... invest in ammunition and medicinal herbs... hemp seeds!!! etc etc. make sure you got all ya corners covered. but land and a garden is a great start!

Incredible interview, great quotes.
"We are just waiting for the monetary system to implode, right?"
"My brother has 100% of his assets in gold. Do you think that is too extreme?"

Only if he thinks he won't see an emergency situation where he needs liquid cash immediately. Other than that, the answer to your question is no.

You are a lucky guy to be near your family and in a rural setting.
I'm just glad that I enjoy eating good cheese. Do you think the govt. will give out wine with the cheese? I like wine, too!
BeenInACaveWayToLong 2 years ago
they are saving all the wine for Nancy the crybaby lush.....some cheese would be good though...
