I doubt it, they have different water needs and I think there would be too much of a difference in aggression. African cichlids are good to keep with other Africans, I'd wouldn't recomend keeping them with South/Central American cichlids.
No problem, sorry, I just don't see it working, you can always try though, the worst that could happen is youd have to take them back. I have seen weirder tankmates before.
Yea sorry. My connection went down for a week, and I've been busy at work, plus I'm taking some college classes that have been keeping me busy. I've found the time to take care of my fish though don't worry :) I'll try to stay more active when I can.
I just wanted to make sure everything was ok. I got news yesterday, my wife and I are going to be having our first baby, very exciting. So I am guessing in the future I will not be as active as usual either.

ive now uploaded 1 of them m8 under mixed ciclid tank waiting until the 5ft tank settles down due to it spung a leek so ive put some of them in the tank with 3 big ciclids so hope they get on lol
I looked at come pictures of Black Belt cichlids and they have stripes that go up to down, yous have them going horizontal. They are a type of cichlid, just not sure the type.
I saw it, your cichlids look very good, you need to also check out tutor4011's videos. He has African cichlids too, click on his name, he has posted comments here and on other vids of mine.
Thanks Lee, the fish are doing great, the little one is a juvenile of the link to the one i sent you with the fleshy snout, i have three of them now in their, they are great fish. The Acei (the new little blue one with yellow tail lol) is doing good, the one i had before got picked on and killed one day i was at work, i hope this one makes it.
I think you are right, I had one a while ago, but it was older than this one and the body was a little of a different shape. Because this ones body is shaped a little different it made me question if it was an Acei or not. I think the different shape body may just be that this one is a juvenile though.

hey i was wondering could these guys live with a jack dempsey and red devil? the jack is 5 inches and the red devil is 2 inches

how long will it take for full grow?what is your feeding routine?I give them Cichlid Grand and Tetra Pro for colour.
Do they need all the rocks?i was thinking that removing the rocks they can have more space to swim.I own a 200litres fish tank.

nice malwi tank m8 ive got my malwies in a 5ft that have just breeding at the moment so i hope all goes well but thumbs up hope yours do the same
