@MrPolishYankee What makes you say that? I mean I REALLY want them to, but I highly doubt it. They're taking a whole new approach to it and I think that counts for the music too. It's like when Batman Begins was being made people wondered whether they will use Elfman's brilliant theme for Batman.....but they didn't. I knew from the start that it wouldn't suit their universe, but I still expected a darker version of such a theme. Williams had created something far more iconic, but I don't know...

@KayWildcat there is a difference, as you hinted, between the Elfman theme and Williams theme. Elfman created an Iconic theme for HIS batman, Williams it seems created THE iconic theme for superman in general.... I will shed a tear when this theme is retired from future film use next year... :(

However, I heard that Hans Zimmer might do the score and in that case he probably won't use the theme....I love Zimmer...but lately his scores aren't very good and for this movie he's probably going to do some synthesized crap. I hated his score for Nolan's batman (but Elfman's genius music wouldn't work with that universe)...still...
