  • this was such a great movie. i love to see bugs mutated or up close regular size. the bee scene is one of my fav scenes in any movie. they should have added more uglier nastier bugs tho.

  • Ive always like the Lawnmower part.

  • i loved this movie... Wayne should of turned the machine into a penis enlarger - he would've made MILLIONS of dollars

  • I've never looked at cheereos the same way again.

  • I <3 this movie but I have this one thought. I am surprise that those kids did not go to therapy after there experiences being small. After many near death experiences by a sweeping broom, high falls into trashcans, attack by giant bugs, drowning in oceans of mud water, The Motherfuckin' Lawnmower, as well as almost being stepped on and eaten by your own father; I would be intensely traumatized! I wouldn't be able to look at a bee again and not go hysterical. LOL

  • Yep

  • This trailer is fucking terrifying.

  • its in black and white

  • The machine works? Do the kids know? Yeah. That's great! Uh not really. Why? I shrunk the kids. (pause) WHAT!!!!!

  • the ants terrified me

  • One of the best Disney Sci-Fi movies, next to Tron and Flight of the Navigator.

  • @ShadowChanceSassy OMG YES! We are >< here, lol. Those are some of my favorites! You couldn't pry me away from the disney channel back then. Those were the good ol days.

  • Remake Please in 3D :)

  • Its the 90's!

  • It's amazing how many times you can watch a movie when you're a kid and never get tired of it. I can't even count how many times, but I watched this RELENTLESSLY at my grandma's XD

  • back when film was made from imagination and not about someone who became famous for making facebook

  • @playfulpaul1985 Out of all the movies you could bash, you choose The Social Network? That's an awesome movie, maybe you just didn't understand it...

  • @Linkage1992 i chose that film as a example, because most films these days are based on true storys and not all of them are good. infact most of them suck.

  • I just wanted to eat that enormous Oreo...

  • I remember when this movie came out. A kid in my first grade class got scared during the lawn mower and the bee scenes when they showed it again at school. Haha.

  • I was so in love with this movie!!!

  • This was one of my favourite films as a kid. I watched it today, but it must have been almost ten years since I had seen it before. I distinctly remember going 'eeewwww' when Amy and Russ kissed, now I just think it's cute.

  • I used to be like holy those are some good graphics, now im like lol.

  • @victorhng its called stay tuned

  • Honey I Fucked The Kids! On my channel :D

  • what a classic

  • This was made by the same man who made Captain america. Interesting.

  • Wiener dogs in outer space

  • I always loved this movie cus they had the same last name as me. SZALINSKI!!!!

  • Classic movie !!!!!

  • Wiener dogs in outer space

  • This is insane they have basically gone and shown the whole flippin' film!?

  • 6 ppl shrunk their dicks!!!

  • @phongv lmao!!

  • This should be a horror

  • @victorhng The movie is called "Stay Tuned"

  • they should have had a small scene at the end or after the credits.. where they are on the sidewalk or something and the blonde kid sees the scorpion and stomps the shit out of it and then laughs.. the ant dying made me fuckin sad !

  • whats the name of that one movie where t he guy finds a satellite dish and gets stuck inside his tv network and uses a remote to change different channel

  • i never looked at the lawn mower since

  • if the machine had blown up the kids they'red be pieces of them everywhere haha classic

  • Ages of the actors/ actress who played the 'kids' now (Wiki): 32, 36, 38, 39. Man that shit's depressing.

  • I remember watching this on the Wonderful World of Disney... the night before we went as a family to Disneyland.

It was (and still is) so much fun!

    "Nick, what happened?"

"We're all the size of boogers!"

  • YouTube these 90's movies, Heavywieghts, Blank Check, Good Burger, 3 ninjas, The Meteor Man, Dennis The Menace, Richie Rich, Home Alone 1&2, Matilda, First Kid, Little Monsters, The Little Rascals, Brink, Hook, Casper, Hocus Pocus,ProblemChild2, Honey I Shrunk The Kids, The Santa Clause, Jingle All The Way, Childs Play, The Mask, Ms. Doubtfire, Jumanji, The Grinch, Jurassic Park, Addams Family, Cool Runnings, Free Willy,Kazaam, Terminator 2,Drop Dead Fred, Don't Tell Mom The Babysitters Dead

  • 6 people were shrunk and died from a lawn mower

  • I cant belive some assholes can done such a bullshit like that.

The best part was the lion-roaring scorpione and a faithful ant. Ridicious.

  • Awh I remember I watched this when I was like in the first grade :) it's just great

  • I'm watching this movie on HBO right now. I remember watching this kid. I was so amazed... easily my favorite childhood film. When I saw it on the guide it sent chills down my spine. Haven't seen it in... oh god... 17 years.

  • What a year 1989 was for movies! This, Batman, Indy 3, Back To The Future 2, Lethal Weapon 2, The Abyss, Born On The 4th Of July....if you get one Average movie a year now you're lucky! The 80's & most of the 90's were the best era's for well made, entertaining blockbusters, what have we now? Cheap looking CG, no genuine moviestars, no real stuntwork, no big action set pieces, no likable characters with morals. I miss movies that really let you escape.

  • I to this day cannot eat Cheerios xD

  • Matt Frewer is a awesome actor! re: this movie helped me become aware of his great acting abilities to play a tremendous amount of character award worthy winning roles - re: re: Max Headroom, Doctors, Psi Factor, and Syfy Alice (just to name a few)

on a side note: he should be playing Gregory House not Hugh Laurie!

  • 5 people just gotten shrunk.

  • i think this is the movie i have been looking for 10 or 11 years ago on christmas day. i remember sitting at nans house and watching it and thinking it was good. i cant remember what it was called and have been searching ever since and even looked for it on internet everywhere. now thank god the search is over (hopefully)!! merry christmas to you all!

  • There's a Muslin remake of this coming out. The story of an Iraqi father, showing his children how to honor their faith.

its "ALLAH! I BLEW UP THE KIDS"

  • Classic. I remember watching this tons in the 90s

  • I can't believe this movie was in 89. I remember watching this in theater. What a great year for movies in general.

  • @hulkaman1a

i thought this movie was a little older than that...because i remember watching it as a kid in the 90s, and wasn't born until late 89...

  • My sister cried when the ant was killed while watching this movie.

  • I loved watching this movie when I was a kid. Not so much now.

  • @roosevelthighschool yes that is true now is not so funny ...but when i was a kid i watch this movie at least 12 times old times to record !!

  • They don't make 'em like this anymore.

  • Damn...the good old days. Times were so epic then compared to now :/

  • Finally! It took me damn years to find this movie.. I just couldn't for the life of me remember the name of the movie. After thinking long and hard, BAM! This reminds me of when I was a kid, so glad I found it.

  • they should remake this with like robbin williams or something and put it in 3d

  • God i haven't seen this film in years, really used to love it when i was child.

  • @qukarlz It was an earwig

  • One of the best if not THE best family-style movie of the last 30 years. It has everything that makes a family film great: a fun adventure for the kids and still entertaining for grown-ups. Rick Moranis is in top form in this movie. They just don't make movies like this anymore. Today "kids" movies have to be rat-tat-tat quick cuts and loaded with CGI and wild action space battle sword fights a la the latest StarWars movies. Basically a video game blown-up in size to fit the big screen.

  • @zooeyhall I agree this film, was just the best, remember, they made the sequel which i saw at the cinema, but was no where near as good as this.

  • @MeBenHalpin Myself and husband and the kids were superimposed at a Disney Orlando show in this flick. I still remember how unnerving it was to watch my kids shrunk. The real scary part is that my estate could have partly funded it. Honey

  • @HoneySiegalSurvivor That's interesting.

  • @MeBenHalpin Wonder if we can obligate them to produce the video. It is even more interesting that there is an ABC news video in Phoenix in 2006 in which I am challenging Terry Goddard about the corruption in the State of Arizona related to the then Governor now DHS Janet Napolitano. When I peacefully held up a sign at her inauguration after she had honored Sandra Day O'Connor at the ceremony to which I was in attendance the interview was conducted outside of the capitol building. RESIGN OBAMA

  • Rick Moranis is hottt!!! This movie is the creme de la creme of all family movie genre and the old fashioned special effects that fills up the big screen. In my opinion, Honey I Shrunk The Kids is #1 with 2 thumbs up..way up. This is better than watching reality crap on TV.

  • Annoying Orange will be put in this movie, because he can get shrunk by the blue light and get a small voice.

  • aww these movies from the 90s were great! along with Drop Dead Fred, Dont Tell Mom the Babysitter is Dead and Kindergarten Cop lol

  • I miss this morbid type of humor in kids movies.

  • it realy sad to know that amy o'niell work as clown in a circus

  • i learned about potassium because of this movie haha!

  • Ahh I remember watching this movie as a kid..

Too bad they don't make movies like these anymore... The best movies along with music comes from 80 &90's.

  • @ishojtester Small correction, my friend. The best EVERYHING came from the 80's and 90's. Movies, music, television shows, breakfas cereals, snack foods, drinks (Crystal Pepsi & Ecto Cooler for the absolute win)...anything else you can think of.

  • @sjm757 Yeah, I had a minor keyboard flub. BreakfasT cereals.

  • the scorpion scene scared me when i was a kid

  • Hey wait! I get it! French class! hahahaha!

  • This film is underrated!

  • i love this movie!! i remember i made up a story about this movie

  • i used to watch this when i was really little(; good memories

  • Rick Moranis is a legend. I wish he never quit

  • the scorpion freaked me the EF out as a kid!

  • Nick: Dad!!! Don't eat me!!! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

  • @corrupt200 Legendary!!!

  • I remember going to see it in the cinema when I was a kid,I taught it was amazing and I remember that the special effects were a VERY big deal at the time.Very Nostalgique film for me!

  • I have this movie!! Im gonna watch it tomorrow for the first time in years, finally we have a videocasette-player again<3

  • Wow...this looked so high-tech to me when i was smaller. I love this movie! :-)

  • they used to show this movie every year on thanksgiving.... i miss that

  • Amy O'Neil is so cute in Honey, I Shrunk The Kids and Homey, I Blew Up The Kid.

I wonder what she's up to right now.

  • @Aaronator19842009 Homey i blew up the kid? What is that the African American version?

  • ooh love this movie!

  • the voice at the end is gay HONEY I SHRUNK THE KIDS

  • i love this movie, and honey i washed the kids soap, is actually inspired by this movie title

  • This used to scare me when I was puny due to the fact that the insects were giant and another that the bee scene gave me a jump and the last one when the kid almost took a one way ticket to stomach ville. yeah this is definetely a little rough for someone's young age wouldn't you say?

  • The lawn mower scared the crap outta me as a kid!

  • @nerdelicious5 This movie actually scares me more as an adult.

  • One of my favorite live action Disney movies of all time. Amy O'Neil (Amy Szalinski) is a fox.

  • Search "Colonel cluster fuck"

It refers to rick moranis lol

  • great movieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Why Dont they make another One!

  • they did. they made 2 more, but those were disasters :)

  • @ballicballer What are you crazy? If they make another one it'll be a disaster. Number 2 was all right, number 3, was basically the same as this one except it was in a house. (Those who haven't noticed this watch HISTK, and then watch HWSO, and try to see what the bee is [this one took me a while as it isn't exactly done by accident], what the ant is, what the trash is, what the scorpion is, and many more, and you'll see what I mean).

  • what was the name of the second part of this movie in which the baby becomes big?

  • honey i blew up the kid.

  • it was called 'honey i blew up the kid'

  • omg i looove this movie!! i totally had a crush on the oldest brother hehe :)

  • Can anybody tell me the name of the film where an American family come to tour Europe and stop off at England along the way? It's a comedy, and they drive an estate car - the father wears big glasses and calls his wife "honey" all the time.

  • Checy Chase movie - European Vacation

  • Thank you so much :)

  • I remember that ! oh what good memories!!! T^T

  • my grandpa took me to see this in theaters, hard to believe that was 20 years ago.

  • fricken classic!! love this movie!

  • This movie made me kinder towards ants in general. As a child back then this was one of three of the greatest things I have ever seen.

he just acted as nick szalinski and than he's DISAPPEARED from the world.. =(=(

  • He was "kevin" in "Edward Scissorhands" too, then he dissapeard from the screen. :)

  • He ended his acting career early, and has been keeping to himself ever since then. He also acted in the sequel to this movie, Honey I Blew Up the Kid (1992).

  • he's a musician now, he made a folk/country album a few years ago.

  • yup, it's called "The Agoraphobic Cowboy," it's funny actually, all tongue-in-cheek. Anyway apparently his wife died with cancer a number of years ago so he faded out of the whole business, there is a quote about this on the Wikipedia page for Moranis.

Anyway I just watched this movie again... what great memories :)
