  • man simien just demoralized the other team. figured he'd have a great career. Pretty shot and so strong. salmonella really took a lot out of him.

  • Wayne wellcome to Caceres we are expecting see your strenght on the paint.

  • wayne simien was arguably the best player to play at kansas.and when he gets a chance to play he will blossom in the nba

  • absdxz375, lol are you serious, ever heard of a guy named wilt chamberlain. simen would break the top 10 though

  • @absdxz375 dude he was in the nba over 3 years

  • @Hamez227 Not true. He was on a roster for just over two years and barely played after his first year. He is a classic bust in the college-to-pro transition. I wish they would make a pro league that plays college-style basketball to let guys like this keep entertaining us fans who don't think a couple spectacular dunks make up for a game of overlooked travels and arbitrary fouls.

  • @Onwisconsin18 He's not a bust at all, he quit. He quit before the 08 summer league to do ministries and shit.

  • Tyler Hansbrough will win the player of the year again, hands down, if he can add some of the moves that Simien displayed while at Kansas.

  • i wish he was still playing

  • hes trying to make a comeback. he's been invited to cavaliers camp. i wish heat took him back. could've used him last year, but wouldn't make a difference they sucked. Beasley and Chalmers: from the state of Kansas..

  • yeah it would be an awesome comeback

he's a great player he just doesn't get to show his skill in the nba which sux

  • If he weren't a walking injury (his sophomore season was wiped out by freak'n salmonella poisoning) he'd be a solid starting PF at worst.

  • Come to Zalgiris Wayne!

  • Simien is definitely my favorite former jayhawk. When I was a freshman, he just walked up to me and introduced himself like he was just an average student. He was an extremely nice, humble, and intelligent guy. It has to be one of my top 5 moments at school.

  • went to high school with Wayne Simien.. dude had book smarts too.

  • Thanks for posting!!! ROCK CHALK!!! KU OWNS!!! 12-0! And Wayne Simien owned as well!! I hope he gets back to the NBA soon! And to quote Bill Self a couple days ago in the Lawrence paper.. "the best player he has ever coached!" 'nuff said! And let's win the Orange Bowl!
