2k Sports bought out the third-party rights to Major League Baseball. Which is awful, because all of the 2k baseball games have been awful.

it was just plain fun the graphics were ahead of its time and it was easier to play than other baseball games even today i can't enjoy 2k or any other baseball games because i miss this. an extra plus was the soundtracks were amazing

Its all the same things with mlb the show so why are all these people saying mvp is the best ever made? I still own mvp 04 and its a solid baseball game but its nothing everyone makes it seem. I think most of these people don't own ps3s and are just used to 2k's peice of shit they dump out every year. I still can't believe I was about 90 games through the season whe I erased it in the show. I've never played it since i'm just traumatized. Anywayzz i just think the show is what mvp used to be.

That's because they moved A-Rod there for the video, as the A-Rod/Soriano trade didn't happen until just after EA finalize their roster for MVP 2004. The default roster still has Soriano on NYY w/ Aaron Boone at 3rd, and A-Rod still on TEX, but you can correct it in the roster managament section.
