I work everyday in the hocking hills and i run across snakes daily. We have seen one Northern Copperhead around, but mostly Black,Rat, Ring, Garter, water moccasin, etc. Have'nt seen a timber rattler there yet, but growing up in Southern Ohio (Perry Co. / Athens Co.) we've seen them all.
I bought a Bond Arms .410 derringer, an NAA Earl 4 in barrel 22 mag and another NAA 1.5 in barrel 22 mag to kill every snake on my property. So far only about three garter snakes a year have attempted to cross my property, and none have had a successful crossing. The CCI shotshells are wonderful! Nothing is more satisfying than blasting a snake with a pistol.
People like yourself have always made me laugh. I don't really care how many or what kind of firearms you have, or how many snakes you've killed on your property. Killing any wildlife for the sake of killing it is ignorant. It doesn't matter whether you're republican or democratic, conservative or liberal, it's just ignorant. And what was the point of commenting on this video in the way you did? It's not like you're going to get a huge emotional response fro me or anyone on here.
the sound of this viper fascinated me since i was a child thanks to humans hunting them the sound is Begining to disappear as adaptation of the species so with out the sound they are more dangerous great video *****
that is a really great find!!! I'm very interested in herpetology myself. can you please tell me where you were when you found the eastern massasauga.I live in north east illinois and I have always wanted to see one in the wild to get a good photograph. the y are difficult to find in Illinois because they are endangered. please reply. Thank You
Congrats on the horridus! That was huge, nice shots with the tail buzzing. Snake never quit rattling lol. Great colors on that Copperhead, grey body to the orange head. Looks like you had one heck of a day herping.
Dude I love your video!!! Thanks for posting!
