  • Those are amazing! Wow!

  • Hey man, I was wondering if you could make me a wand? I would gladly buy it from you for either real cash, runescape gold, or a wizard101 account. Hit me back!

  • Really good like the #2

  • : D

  • Tutorial please

  • Can u please make a tutorial and also what type of knive/knives and gloss did u use. These are by far the best homemade wands I have ever seen

  • I totally love the fifth and The first wand. It is really impressive handwork.

I have tried to make a wand myself, but it is kindof just a stick. Haha.

  • What tools did u use for this?!

  • rofl....

  • wow u really make good wands how inpresive

  • dude u rok plz sub 2 me

  • are they for sale probly not but if they are how munch?

  • hey, can you make the tutorial some time real soon? I really want to make one just like yours, so please, I'm usually patient but not about this kind of stuff!

  • These are REALLY nice! Professional quality and unique appearance - you obviously have a talent for this. One thing I might suggest is to try out a natural oil and wax finish with stuff like linseed oil and beeswax polish. You'll find it will bring out the natural beauty of the wood better and keep the "feel" of the wood. I think it will complement the hand-carved real wood feel better than a coat of synthetic urethane.

  • How many tools did you carry on this trip? any sandpaper or varnish? Curious, thank you.

  • Hey kingoftherodeo3. They use Thestral tail hair. It makes the most powerful wand in the world.

  • Have you made wands from Hickory Yet?My wands have actual cores in them. I specialize in "DragonsHeartString"

  • Wow.. All these designs are beautiful. Even the skull one XD If you ever have the time do you think you could put up a video showing how you go about designing the wands? Cos I'd love to be able to do these sometime =P The most I've ever achieved was peeling the bark off sticks lol XD

  • How much for the wand with the old guy on it pro wands there just like in harry potter

  • Those are beautiful. Seriously. You're a true artist. You could give Olivander a run for his money. I love love LOVE the hazel and ivy ones. The pale wood looks really nice.

  • Not bad.

  • what did you use to carve it ?

  • How do you put the design into the handle

  • @MrToYz82 Ha you won't get one for 20! After the time and effort put onto each one, no chance.

  • Can you make a great tutorial on how to whittle wands for experts please i make wands for wandwavers the shop in Western Australia Perth

  • That's what I thought. ok then. The best of luck on your tutorial video!!

  • How did you get that handle vine design into the holly wand. I've been carving wands since I was eight ( i'm 12 now so it's been nearly five years) and all I've ever been able to do is shave sticks! However recently I made a wand that already had a vine snaking through it. Could you mabye put up a video teaching how to make wands? You clearly have immense talent!!!

  • @Afrowhizkid If you dig into the vine that is growing around the timber you can usually carve it out. After I did that, I touched it up obviously with a fine scapel. I am in the making of a tutorial video. It takes time though! :)

  • Where did you go in Europe i want to go to france

  • @hamishjames1998 I went everywhere. France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Belgium, UK... etc. I want to go back and do more of Eastern Europe. I have a ticket to Mexico this December. I will hopefully get a few pieces for my mexican series.... :)

  • sounds so fun

  • @KingoftheRodeo3 these are the best hand-made wands I've ever seen. I have made a couple myself and I can't quite get the designs and the drop offs at the handle. Could you please tell me how you did the small designs and the drop off at the handle? All I use is a sharp knife, sandpaper, and gloss/stain.What kind of tools and techniques do you use?

  • your wands are amazing!!! do you think you can make me one? ill pay you... please message me asap

  • @ThyBuddha I can and will be taking specific orders. Price is negotiable. :)

  • Do you make the wands for fun, or what? If find that very interesting...

  • @gustjorodedheo Yep. I'm a pretty big Harry Potter fan... why is that interesting?

  • It would cool to see the whole process like step by step. I'm trying to start collecting all the wands from NC, but it'd be cool to make my own. You should make tutorials.

  • the pheonix head one is awesome

how much would it cost if u put it up for sale?

  • @appleaddict3303 That particular wand is not for sale. A close replica would have a negotiable price, as all of my wands do.

  • how was Europe

  • @hamishjames1998 Friggin sweet! Thanks for asking :)

  • That not bad

  • how the hell do you make them ? , especially the carving part ? , im currently attempting to make one haha but i just need to do the carving

  • @MrToYz82 How much would you pay for one? I'm trying to price them at the moment.

  • @KingoftheRodeo3 i would pay 25 £

  • What types of wood you could use that is common in the UK?

  • @TheTardis99 Holly? Oak? I used an apple tree branch to carve when I was in the UK. Ash is common there too I believe.

  • What is your web site called

  • @armyboi227 It's not up yet, I'm still working on it. I will let you know when it is though...

  • Can you make me a wand ( wand 16 inches, handle 2 inches, shaft 14 inches)

  • @armyboi227 I can put in an order. But they're not free ;)

  • @KingoftheRodeo3 And do you know where I could get the stuff you used to coat the holly wand?

  • @HarryPotterFan032 Any local hardware store. Just cruise in and ask for clear, matt polyutheraine lacquer.

  • These are really great. I've just started searching for wands. I really like the ones from Noble. But I appreciate more, wands that are hand made by 'wandmakers'. I was just wondering since you're mentioning the cores of the wands, is there some book or something on the internet you've encountered about what core should a handmade wand be? Or you are just guessing here. :)

  • @drangova I make a decision what the core of each wand 'would be' from the way it feels. It's a long process, which can't be rushed or done until the wand is complete. :)

  • @KingoftheRodeo3 Yeah I was just wondering if there's some fan fiction about the cores of the wand. And your wands are so cool how come you don't use any electric tools. What you just use like a knife or something. Cause I've watched videos of other people making wands and they all use this um machine for rotating the wand and carve it more symmetrical. And I can say yours are much better than theirs.

  • the first wand is amazing, if you are selling, im willing to place an offer

  • @THEONLYJA1208 Unfortunately I'm not selling these five but my website will be up and running soon for wand purchases. I will let you know... :) Thanks for the show in interest.

  • If You keep Making Them I will buy them! And a lot of other people! You only have one video!!!!!

  • @welovevideosyeswedo Fantastic. Keep posted for treeblipwands, the website. It is in in the making.

  • @KingoftheRodeo3 I Have A Channel Of Reviewing Noble Collection Wands And Wands I've Made. Though Their Terrible Compared To You. You Inspired Me. I will Look Out For The Website, Is That Where You WillBe Selling Them?

  • @welovevideosyeswedo That is where they will be selling. Thanks for your interest :) Yeah, I own a couple of the noble collection but their tackiness, heavy weight and lack of fine detail make them kind of crappy.

  • @KingoftheRodeo3 Yeah, It's Bad That The Noble Collection Wands Are All Like That. Some Can be Good, Some Can Be Bad. I will definately go on the website.

  • I was thinking more of a duck or goose rather than a phoenix, but I love it none-the-less :)

  • i love your wands, especially the elder one and the holly one. I wanted to ask though, what did you use to make 'm shine? because mine never look quite that shiny..

    Their Beautifull!

  • Very cool.

  • Tutorial?

  • @HarryPotterFan032 ...is in the making :)

  • @KingoftheRodeo3 Oh yay :)

  • Comment removed

  • the fourth one with the skull on it is awsome

  • @enigmaz95 thanks

  • wow there just beautiful wands, u should sell them

  • @KyleMovieStudios I'm thinking about it... :)

  • what do u use to carve?????

  • Such beautiful work. Breathtaking.

  • What do you put on your wand to make it all shiny?

  • @SilvaTone2203 well he most likley he used like spray gloss not sure but thats one thing u can do if u are trying to make a wand shiny!

  • WOW. these are EXCELLENT!!! PLEASE make more :D:D:D:D:D

  • really cool

  • Are they homemade? They looks great! Nice job dude!!!!!!

  • @123HotRider The short answer: yes.

  • is there goin to be a tutorial comming out, btw greaat wands you have got a talent my friend they are betterbthan the noble wands

  • those wands were AWESOME!!!!

  • I can sort of carve wands like the shaft part but not great at the handles. How do you do the small designs like the ball , skull head and the old man? Can you show a tutorial of you making a wand

  • @Ianandderek Yep, a tutorial is in the works. Give me time, it takes a while to carve...

  • Hey, I was wondering what you use for inspiration for styles for your wands, and/or if you had any suggestions for me? Because I find it difficult to find good designs for wands. Greats wands, by the way :D!

  • @NoobTwinz5 I pull designs out of my head and sraw them onto paper. It usually takes me a while to settle on a design. Never rush it. The wands don't come instantly, it should be a medatative process. :) Goodluck

  • What do you use to carve and craft your wands?

  • @jackmf77 a small scapel and the finest sandpaper to finish. That's it.

  • so beautiful i need one

  • @Bioniclefan21 Thanks! Copies may start to be for sale eventually. patience is virtue

  • I really like the phoenix head wand. I like to see wands with "alternative" handle styles. they may not be practical to duel w/, but

    still lovely.

  • your amazingly good, how did you do that with just a knife to cut out of a branch! can you put up a tutorial on how to make a wand

    thnx

  • Oh, those are just beautiful! You should make some to sell on Etsy.

  • @rosey4exclaim thanks a lot, I really appreciate the positive feedback :)

  • would u sell the feanex one

  • @planb19991 They are not for sale. Sorry.

  • theastrials dont have hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Can I buy one of your wands ? And if u are selling them how much!!!!P.S your wands are amazing!!!!

  • Could u put up a tutorial???

  • YOU ARE MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @superk13ngreen fair enough

  • i really like pheonix head wand :D

    man you have talent

  • i really like pheonix head wand :D

  • So awesome. You did a great job. I love the different kinds of woods you used! I just finished my first wand and I used an American Sycamore wood. Love it, it's super sturdy. :)

  • how long did it take to dry out the woods

  • @jugularfilm depends on the wood. The holly took 3 months from live. Others took 2 weeks. I just monitored them.

  • Im making a few wands my first wand was terrible!!! It didnt even have a handle!

  • Dude!!!!! Those are fantastic!!!!! My favorite was the one that you said was your favorite as well. But i would have said it was unicorn hair in pheonix feathers' stead. I just say that because it looks like a horse hoof. And by the way, there actually is a wand with thestral hair as te core. 2 to be exact. That would be lunas and rons. Great job, well done.

  • @iluvpieiluvpie Hey you're right, a few people have said it looks like a horses foot... it's officially changed to unicorn tail hair. Thanks for that :)

  • @KingoftheRodeo3 no. thank you:)

  • Outstanding! Not only are they wonderful wands, but they have an excellent backstory. Oh, and sorry about that horrible flooding. Best wishes V

  • @7Voyager7 Thanks mate. Fortunately the floods haven't hit where I live. Cheers for the support though, there are a lot of people who need it. P.s. Your wands are kick ass.

  • are any of those for sale

  • @tak948 Nope, sorry.

  • btw i'm looking at your wands from this small screen but i think that maybe you need to make the handle longer just saying

  • O:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey man, great wands, i actually have just begun making my first wand and i am making it out of Holly. I have no idea how to make it shiny like the ones in your video, i know it is some sort ofpolish or coating, and if so what type?

  • @gaylec14 G'day mate, I coated mine in 2 to 3 layers of clear matt lacquer. It gives it a subtle, semi-shiny finish without making it ueber-shiny. Good luck!

  • man your awesome! you got a realy amazing tallent!

  • ollivander's wand shop is hiring you!!

  • @bLumeTrit04 haha, I wish!

  • So how long do you dry your limbs out before u carve? and how? Cause with mine, especially the ones made of oak start getting cracks that grow and spread after i carve

  • @Joefromgeorgia Hey mate, all of my wands are dried by air. Out of the 5 wands in this vid the Holly took the longest to dry; about 3 months. The others only took between 2-4 weeks. The denser the wood the longer it takes to dry. Cut a piece (2-3 times bigger than the wand you wand to make), dry it out (patience is a virtue) and then cut it down to size. You will find it will split a lot at the ends but once you cut the timber down to wand size those splits will be removed. Hope this helps.

  • Very cool!!

  • @eviltig Thanks eviltig, I've always enjoyed your videos.

  • do you use sand paper if so what type

  • soz i dint meat 2 post that 3 times

  • best wand i have seen on youtube by far but how did u make the ball?

  • @krazzykid97 I made the ball by whittling with a tiny knife blade. I design it first by drawing a sketch onto paper and then I use pencil markings on the timber to help me know where to cut. It's a long process. I use the finest sandpaper money can buy.

  • best wand i have seen on youtube by far but how did u make the ball?

  • best wand i have seen on youtube but how did u makethe ball?

  • ther so kl i wish i could do stuff like that ther awsum

  • hey i know all theze are great but where did you learn to carve so well and would you sell the swan/phoenix one i have been loooking for a wand and these one seems to look like me thanks

  • @NativeAmericanWaltz2 Hey dude, I taught myself to carve. I spent a month experimenting and exploring different knives and timbers while I travelled. The wands are not for sale, they have too much sentimental value to me. Sorry. But I am working on a new 'Australian series' at the moment that will eventually go up for sale. Keep posted for a new video.

  • great job, they all look amazing. The carved phoenix head in the one is really cool.

@blondesarecute417 your right, the core of the Elder Wand is thestral tail hair, but the core for McGonagall's was never stated so no one knows what her core is.

  • best self-made wands you can find on youtube. keep it up! : D

  • @akawwe Really? Wow, thanks. I'm currently working on a new series. Keep posted for a new vid.

  • they do use thestral hair for wand cores dude Dumbledore's and McGonagall's wands both had a thestral hair core

  • @Blondesarecute417 Fair enough. Well then my choices are credible. Huzzah!

  • nice wands

  • @BdakSP Cheers mate

  • HOLY CRAP i thought others were good... you are my insperation!!! lol man how long does that take

  • @spyrx52 Well I was backpacking around Europe for 7 months so I had a lot of time on my hands. I whittled about one every fornight-month-ish. Each one has a fair amount of hours put into it, but that just makes them more sentimental to me.

  • nice wands dude

  • @Blondesarecute417 Why thankyou

  • Wow. Amazing ;)

    Double thumbs up for you

favourited and maybe ill sub :D

  • brilliant dude. Im waitin for a piece of maple i have to dry so i can make my own

  • @Joefromgeorgia Nice. Maple works really well. It's tough to whittle but the end result always turns out amazing. Have you got any design ideas?

  • @KingoftheRodeo3 I turned the end of the maple into a dragon. It was my first attempt at carving anything that complex. Turned out bad lol. But i made an amazing one im happy with outta oak. It was really tough to whittle. Im still lookin for an ash and hazel to get branches from but their rare where i live

  • Fantastic sir, they are incredible. The fact that you created them on a journey is awesome. Two thumbs and this guy really admire your story and work.

  • wow yu actualy carved those what did u use

  • Real nice stuff there. What kind of knives or tools do you use to carve these with?

  • @dmacken11 I used a whittling kit I bought from a hardware store and a carving glove for safety. The kit and glove cost me no more than $10. The knives were very simple little scapels you can get from any art shop. I used a stanley knife originally to cut the bark away. Thanks for the positive feedback!
