I have been listening to James Taylor for over thirty years. I saw him perform live way back when Boston had a series of concerts on the Boston Common. He picked up his guitar at 19:00 hrs and sang for two hours. There are not many that sound as great as the recordings. James Taylor does just that and more!!

James is my favourite all time performer. One of the best renditions of this song was done by India Arie on Musicares Person of the year honoring James-2006, I think. It made me cry it was that good. And she was very complimentary to James in her intro. Check it out all JT fans-in fact the whole video was outstanding, go and buy it.

I first saw James and Carol King in 1969 or '70 (been awhile) at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, N.J when she first accompanied him on stage together. What an amazing concert to hear their glorious voices and sing-along tunes. Definite legends still!

I saw him with carol king 7/9 in chicago. I would have paid double easily. And believe it or not he sounds even better in person! the show was 2.5 hours with a break. You did leave there feeling so mellow..like music used to make us feel......be nice to yourself and see him at least once in your life time....

I saw him and carol king july 9th in chicago and itis true..it was an amazing performance..He sound even better in person and i would have paid double it was soooo woth it.. you walk away feeling so good..the way music "used to" make you feel. And he has a wonderful/witty humor. Best concert in 30 yrs...... be nice to yourself and go see him!

JT has been as much a part of my life as anyone I never knew. I met him after a concert once and told him "I've spent more time with you in my life than I did with my ex-wife". Might have been a slight exageration......but not far from true.

Let me say.. if you've never seen James 'LIVE'... it is an Unforgetable Experience!! I saw him perform at Tanglewood (Mass.).. he played an hour and a half.. took a 25min break.. and played ANOTHER hour and a half! If you like it.. he played it.. and, as you can see here, he doesn't disapoint (LIVE I mean). Great post, Clevargas, Thanks! And if anyone interested ever see's he's coming to a town near you.. Go! You won't be let down... will leave smiling... and will never forget it.
