@MrDreamblade You go 2 main menu then option then extras then enter code and type in "HARDHITTER" then your hammer becomes the goldbreaker. Never uprgade your hammer or it will go away however if you upgrade it you can degrade to the sledgehammer and thats what it will be but thats a waste of salvage.

The marauders are Ultor scientists from the first game but radiation from one if their experiments fried their brains and they reverted to a primitive state only they were on mars and they retained the knowledge to use their technology shown by the nano forge those purple grenades they throw and the fact that they use guns and that Sam is one of them it's a long explanation but it's almost directly off the website for red faction
