  • @leegolas14 Same here! Most successful documentary series of all time, 200 million viewers in almost every country worldwide! :O

I never did kick the dino-phase either, I'm applying for a university course in Palaeontology 14 years later! :D

  • What?!?!?!?

    The dinosaurs aren't real?????

  • @docrichie9 Yeah

  • Ohhhhhhhhh , so that 's how they r making all of those BBC dinosaurs videos !!! At first I thought that they used just computers !!!

  • I WANT THAT HEAD and when i get it i will take it to school and scare the shit out of my teacher and friends >:D

  • Wait a minute, I think I have the dvd of the show they're filming.

  • Ok if I want to learn how to make dinosaurs I will go to Madonna's parents.

  • What if they do make dinosaurs , but what if they couldn't control them and the dinosaurs came at us with there jaws open hungry ......

  • Where can I buy these?!

  • lol at 2:25 he said faggots

  • How much did this British Jurassic Park make?

  • Four Words: I want that job.

  • They are actually developing a machine that can bring dinosaurs back to life using their fossils like cloning technology that we already have and proved to work.

  • @BattlePiggy29 Hell if they can make a dinosaur,'' why don't they make something more recent like maybe a sabbertooth or mammath those would be great extinct animals start out with..Or the great sabbertooth tiger fish on that one episode of bugs bunny where the kid ''max'' keeps dreaming in school..!aH I know im an asshole..!aH

  • @dannyhood66 There are thoughts about making mammoths and a series somewhere on Youtube talking about deriving a small predator dinosaur from an Emu. It needs to turn two genes off that has been done with chicken eggs, that stop teeth developing and re-absorb the tail, and the more complicated one to recover the 'hand' structure from the wing. The bones for it are there but their shape has changed.

  • @Saiaton Wow that would be fascinating to see, but i doubt it happens in our lifetime?

  • @dannyhood66 Depends how old you are! It could happen ion the next 10 years, very likely the next 20. The teeth and tail problems have been dealt with experimentally already and this only requires meddling with genes that are there already, not introducing new ones in the manner of Jurassic Park. Of course you only get the Emu's dinosaur ancestor. Latest World Science is saying that Hadrosaurs were alive and well in Mexico some half million years after they were all supposed to be extinct.

  • @Saiaton Im 44 years young,''But id love to see that shit..Hadrosaurs lived well im sure after science's ideas of great cretaceous exctintions..There is plenty of evidence of dinosaur tracks along side of man footprints,''yet nobody talks about it because that means they would have to rewrite all prehistoric and paleontoligy books,'As far as i know that is?

  • @dannyhood66 All we really know is when they stopped dying in conditions that could fossilize them. But suggest that they - or versions apart from birds - lived on, or Man had ancestors before the known Hominids, and you get into Bible-thumper territory that closes discussion to any other possibilities.

  • @Saiaton Yes I've heard it was Edmontosaurus, I think they found one or two specimens above the KT boundary, I had a book which showed on a timeline when species were around, and Edmontosaurus went over into the Tertiary period, I was like 7 years old an got so confused...

  • @dannyhood66 Scientists in Japan said they could have a mammoth in about five years if they began DNA extraction and surrogate births now (I think), though to be honest I would love to see a live Dilophosaurus if anything!

  • @BattlePiggy29 I've heard of that. Scientists are currently trying to find DNA which is in still in one whole piece. Then replicate that DNA with Synthetic materials that would make the dinosaur not Carbon based, but Silicon based. Which would be good for research purposes, but its life would have to be limited to one whole week. non the less, the research would be really benificial lol

  • if dinosaurs were alive i would drop out of school and employment to become a Ultraman.

  • i want a t-rex baby handpupped :O

  • If dinosaurs died? And others to..? Then that means we are next.

  • @tademan123 Of course. No species last forever.

  • @Suiax Well it is possible like us we are smart. And we have good technology. So it would be possible. But most likly not.

  • BEST JOB EVER!!!

  • Sniff Andy!

  • id like to get a full figure and terrorize the neighborhood dogs haha, so cool

  • funny

  • Uhmm... how did they do this with the brachiosaur....

  • Imagine a world without grass. That's chilling isn't it.

New Caledonia and the other locations looks so beautiful!! I want to visit them.

I got two monkey puzzle sapplings in my back yard. I got them two years ago because I loved this series so much.

  • Yes,in that location and at that time the whole world was much warmer than it is today. There was no Polar Ice Caps in the time of the Jurassic and Cretacious .

I remember reading something saying the temperture was about 15 degrees celius

warmer than now.Even in the time of the Great Mammals it was 13 degrees warmer.

  • Like the Scientists says. The climate was much warmer then than now.So much for the theory of global warming.Unless the Dinosaurs had factories and built cars. The Earth's climate has had many Ice Ages, and many hot periods. Also sea levels rise and fall.

  • @reticulan5 As the scientist said. the climate was warmer IN THAT LOCATION based on what was growing there.

  • @reticulan5

you dont think the scientists take these things into consideration when they interpret their data?

  • i love the Dinosaur puppets they are awsom

  • i liked this dinosaur documentary the most. lots of information, though lots of it speculation but who cares. they know it better than me anyway. special effects were ok, music was good and atmosphere was really nice

  • one of the best doku series i ever saw..

since i was small i allways was fascinated by that cretures .

there allways is room for interpretation but it is a fact those creatures existed..

one must be really dumb not beliving that..would be really cool if bbc made a new series with todays computers ,animation and modeling techniques..

  • Ugh, I was thoroughly enjoying myself until I scrolled down to the comments and remembered that you have to pay to believe in your own beliefs here. I had the impression that evolutionists were open-minded. I guess one too many self-righteous idiots got the best of you...?

  • Holy shit at 4 mins. Is that Peter Petrelli holding the baby T-rex head? :O

  • @Roffeskanal no it was "Andy" who was holding the baby T-rex head not Peter Petrelli, you can hear Tim Haines say his name but it would be nice if it was.

  • @Blackiichan1011 hehe, I never really expected it to actually BE him. I was just stunned by the redicioulus resemblence

  • ...and what do you call a lesbian dinosaur?

  • this is preistorice planet i watch it and love it!

  • it wud be way better if they created a life size t-rex tht was remote controled...tht wud hav made it way easier and more like it was actually there.

  • They did that with Jurassic Park I'm pretty sure.

  • its amazing¡¡

  • where's new caledonia?

  • 3:37

When I Saw The Thumbnail For This Video I Was Like "What Kind Of Weird As Dinosaur Is That?"

  • watch my video too k great video

  • well its obviously gunna be warmer back then, cuz it's closer time to the big bang, so there was more lava

  • No the reason it was warmer had a lot to do with the fact that the continents were all closer to the equator than they are now. Volcanic activity probably also played a role but that would be because of the volcanic gases not because of lava. When the dinosaurs were alive, it was already several billion years after the big bang and the formation of Earth.

  • "cuz it's closer time to the big bang, so there was more lava " WTF?

Wow that is a stupendously stupid remark! You should get some sort of idiot badge for that!

My guess is you're American... am I right? Wow... what the hell are they teaching (or in this case NOT teaching) you guys!

  • why do you assumy right away that he's american?

  • @siryumi

I think I prefaced that with 'i am assuming' thus giving you the 'hint' I was assuming!

On closer inspection the words 'United States' appear beside Country of Origin on his channel... Which is a decidedly large confirmation that 'SHE' (not he) is in fact as I assumed!

Any other lessons in logic I can give you there? or are we all done now?

  • the tree is fake on 1:18

  • Comment removed

  • thats a joshua tree

  • jepp its a joshua tree...no fake

  • @HappySCVResident PRESS f5 as soon as any commercial starts on Youtube. It will skip the ad. Have fun.

  • @HappySCVResident press the f5 button on your key board to skip

  • @HappySCVResident press F5 it works

  • @HappySCVResident this is the BBCs youtube channel - they get millions from doing it..

  • @HappySCVResident just hit f5 when that happens

  • @HappySCVResident press f5 twhen the vids begin then it'll skip it(;

  • @HappySCVResident refresh the page when a commercial begins and it will not play again!

  • Real walking robots? Real life robots? In a show? Damn. ether making Robot dinosaurs are easy, or their are robot humans among us already!

Anyway, I welcome our new metallic overlords.

  • if there were no grass how would there be plants trees for the vegatarian dinosaurs to eat...?

  • there where ferns the size of small trees and ponytails pretty much replaced the grass. so there was enough to eat for the herbivores.

  • Now thats a fun job :)

  • Also its not because climate conditions changed, its because 65,000,000 years ago geographically no country was in the position its in today. I.E the U.S.A and Canada was further south nearer the Med in much warmer climates..

  • I always find the whole behind-the-scenes process to be as interesting, if not more interesting, than the finished product.

  • me two sometimes

  • I agree

  • I heard that BBC made a remake in 2008, with longer episodes and new footage, can someone help

  • Havent heard of that, it could be the Stage Version that they're doing. :D

  • I don't think it is, they said they'd make some changes in dinosaur behavior, like that the leallyleanosaura (hope I spelled that right) would no longer be nocturnal. And leallyleanosaura isn't in the live show. (Kinda sad) :(

  • Oh wow...It's amazing how a director has an eye for making the right shots, because he doesn't really see what we see. He has to imagine how the movie is going to be like when they shoot it like this or that. It must be really challenging.

  • That would be the best job in the world!

What do you do for a living?

I work with realistic dinosaur puppets and animatronics!

  • JohnnyMacFartland im with you

In middle ages they were mostly burrning books from ancient greeks and accusing people of witchcraft and much more rubbish...if they wouldnt done that we would already be on mars having lunch but that is a huge theme that doesnt belong here...NICE VID WATCHED EVERY WALKING WITH...SERIES + SPECIALS love them!

  • Comment removed

  • Well religions especially european religions were against everything new, like that Earth is actually a ball shaped, but no it cannot be cos bible says so...

  • Yup, Religions rejected it alot. But, we should know that God, Allah might not exist. And that Dinosaurs do exist (My grandpa, who is Christian, says all skelletons are plastic). My dad sayd: yes, and i burryd them all around the world xD

  • I bet that if religions wouldn't have been created, we would have went to moon 100years before we actually did or even earlier.

  • well... if it wasent for all the religion, maybe the industrial revolution never came. and we would still be 1 billion people living all over in tribes dreaming of colonising mars.

but i agree, NOW would be a very good time to destroy all religius faith!

    hail atheism!
