  • This is a great band! But better than Rage? NO! Everyone who says such a stupid thing must be a stupid Dutchman..

  • There's a difference between being inspired by a band and completely copying their sound.

    Some people should learn it.

  • @ELREndLondonRule Who cares? In my book the only thing that matters is what my ears hear and my brain enjoys. It's all just sound. The semantics of it's origin should not concern people as much as it does. Fuck elitism and trying to be legit.

  • RAZOR: She's buff. Ballsy.

    BLADE: Let's keep her.

    RAZOR: Waste the dude.

  • @19Overton85 One of the greatest movies ever!!!

  • im confused, i thought this was rage against the machine? can anyone tell me whats good?

  • @kkaattiiee202 its urban dance squad. band from the Netherlands started in 1986. This song is from their album Persona Non Grata

  • @kkaattiiee202 U.D.S was a large inspiration for RATM which is why RATM's music sounds similar, but U.D.S were the original authors of this song.

  • I'm glad I got to see them live with Living Colour. That was a great show.

  • Fuckin' pumped.

  • awesome. too far ahead of their time

  • Urban Dance Group split up, you can read that on wikipedia!

  • Awesome, one of the best bands of the world, RATM, got inspired by the dutch

good memories of this song! UDS rules

  • I'm not sure, but I think this song may be called Heavy Metal Kettle. Oh, and hack the planet!!!!

  • @AnubisEnd the song is on their album "Persona non Grata" and its called Good Grief not Heavy Metal Kettle..

  • this song blows!

  • This is the only song of theirs that I like.

  • UDS, most underrated band ever, they influenced the entire music scene in he US!! Never forget :)

  • Like Anvil?

  • nice hardcore... :)

  • mmm.. hardcore?

  • I heard once that Rage Agains The Machine plays hardcore. It sounds similar. But maybe I should say "rapcore" or something like that...

  • who got inspired by urban dance squad yoy think???

  • I didn't know. Thanks for information :)

  • id think ratm got a lil

  • Its all a compliment to this band what we write while we listen. I have heart them when I was ten, but never again. And now there are inspiring me for my new band, and I dont see any problems. You???

I prefer this, but I do like ratm

  • UDS owns RATM owns RHCP owns i<3 them!

  • Just like beer folks. Enjoy different flavors but don't compare. It is reckless and heavy. It smells.

  • I agree with gutty. At the time having UDS and RATM, Fishbone at the same time it wa slike having several best friends it was even better to have the "same" shit from different, bands;Like having the same car in different colors, or several girlfriends. Haaa , what a trip.

  • Stop arguing about which band was better.. RATM or UDS, they were both the damn shit. UDS inspired RATM and RATM made good music. UDS also made kick-ass music, I just know it.. I haven't heard much from them, unfortunately but I'm gonna hear more fer sure. Huge credit to them for inspiring one of my top fave bands ever and for making good fucking music, I'm not saying RATM is better, BUT I'm stil not saying they're worse, a lot of bands are so good to me that I can't say one is worse.

  • we just kickin ass rite here

    back in studio 4

    good grief

  • God wouldn't be up this late!!!

  • @Francid2010 GOD is always up

  • i always thought this was a RATM song. i guess the vocals do sound a lot different tho

  • 2 sick, and guitar solo is sooooo gooood

  • there is no right and wrong just fun and boring

  • and a 10 year jail sentence sounds pretty dull to me

  • btw it was "and a 30 year jail sentence"

  • GOOD MORNING VEITNAM

  • hack the planet!!!

  • they're trashing, they're trashing our rights, they're TRASHING!

    HACK THE PLANET! :P

  • Type "cookie", you idiot.

  • Don't make fun. They're elite!

  • Don't make fun. They're l33t! ^fixed^

  • No doubt, UDS was one of the highlights of the late 80's and should be given much more recognition..... I like Rage vs. the Machine, but they are no comparison to soulfulness of UDS!!!!!

  • what you say is absolutely correct, din't why you got thumbed negatives

  • lol my neighbour lady used to hang out with uds and rude boy when she was a raging young girl :) greets from holland

  • RATM anyone?

    this song fucking pwns all!

    zara xox

  • Does Morello buy a lot of UDS sheet music?

  • tom Morello is a Grammy Award-winning American guitarist best known for his tenure with the bands Rage Against the Machine

He was featured as one of the guitarists in Rolling Stone's "The Top 20 New Guitarists

but guys i dont got dat abut Does Morello buy a lot of UDS sheet music?

  • good lord.

  • The fact that you don't get it, and need an explination is sad. He's saying Tom Morello is ripping off UDS sound

  • I wouldn't say Tom is ripping anyone off.. He just strongly seeks inspiration to UDS, probably.

  • from what album of uds is good grief?

  • One of the few!!

  • uds was the first real cross over band. way before ratm, limp bizkit and red hcp...

thank for uploading this great stuff !

  • if y'all like this shit check out my other UDS uploads too.

    GOOD GRIEF

  • @watkraakter i only like this one.

more of my style since it's kinda a mix of punk and rap.

  • your gay

  • OK

    Lets get things straight

I absolutely LOVE RATM... but they wouldnt exist withoud UDS... ratm even got a cover of this song...

ratm used to be a progressive rock band with some singer.. then morello heard this guys and fetched zack de la rocha to follow the style....

UDS is to RATM what Blues is to Rock

    You dont agree

    Fuck You

You should get your history straihgt

  • that's how the fuck it is bro, and what's even more important. uds is dutch, so am I :) hahah

  • Actually, RATM doesn't have a cover of this song. I got this off of limewire thinking it was ratm but it's UDS. I thought it was a cover too but it isn't.

  • Haha that happened to me like three years ago and since then I thought it was RATM too.

  • @stratoman550 wrong. ratm formed when tom morello found zach de la rocha. he found him freestyle rapping about the same political issues he was writing songs about. before rage tom was in a band called lock up. if your trying to say that zach has the same style of rapping as this dude, then yes i agree.

  • @stratoman550 dude you are SOOOOOOOOOOOO right this guitarist is on par if not better than morello

  • @stratoman550 fuck you your a motherfucking genius

  • @stratoman550 thats interesting, i always thought Tom was in Lock up then heard UDS and went to rage, im not arguing with you or anything, just never knew that

  • @stratoman550

Tom wasn't in a band. He and Zach met and then they formed Ratm.

  • @Plozen wrong.

  • @bagofrandom

Okay genius, what the fuck happened then?

  • @Plozen Tom was in a rock band. Can't remember the name, they played on a couple of talk shows and relased a full length and an EP.

  • @bagofrandom

You're thinking of Electric sheep, however that was not the band that Tom was in when he met Zach.

  • @bagofrandom lock up they were called

  • @stratoman550 uhh, no bro. RATM was born when Lock up, Tom Morello's old group broke up. He talked to brad wilk, the drummer who unsuccessfully auditioned for lock up. Tom then found Zack at a rap club in L.A. and convinced him to join his new untitled band. Zack convinced his childhood friend, Tim Commerford to join, and the line up was complete. That said, the entire band was influenced by UDS and wanted to take that sound to the next level. RATM was always a funk-rap-metal band.

  • You RATM lovers are suckers, UDS ruled the airwaves before RATM and didnt sell out like RATM, hypocrite mo'fuckers, i had respect for RATM but no more, they are ranked with Limp Bizkit now. Unlike UDS.

  • nooooo ok i respect UDS

uds and ratm r same style

but dont 4get ratm stiiiiiiiil rulz

but sum thing 4 me they created rap metal dont 4get dat

  • actually RATM was created after they saw/heard about uds

  • Keep Em All In A Daze, With The Wild Funk Blaze, Tres Manos Licks Rule!

Zoot Horn Rollo Style fer sure...

  • GOOD GRIEF

  • just another bomb track, in the words of zach de la rocha

  • these guys r good, but RATM... is just the band that marked the 90-s, IMHO RATM doesn't have one bad song, they are all so powerfull... peace

    good grief :))

  • way better than r.a.t.m

  • no wayy!!

i meen this songs insane but RATM are fucking amazing.

  • Feels really raw and unpolished; great stuff.

  • Love this song, thank you Hackers!

  • same for me... !! if it wasn't for hackers i would not know this song...

  • Awesome music, maaaybe better then RATM xD

  • lolwut?

    lacks ANGERRRRRRRRRRRRRR

and how can you compare a bluesy guitar solo to a turntable guitar solo?

  • even if not, huge credit must be given for inspiring RATM.

This stuff is definitely rawer than RATM.

  • never forgotten.seen them in bourges printemps in 1999,the singer wore army uniform but still don't know why. it doesn't matter, they were awesome,et viva nederland!!

  • with a wold funk blaze, GOOD GRIEF!

  • hey y'all, check a song called ''demagogue'' too, I bet you like it

  • wkd this is jst like rage

  • I think these guys were an inspiration to rage.

  • Rage against the machine got their sound from this Dutch band Urban Dance Squad :-)

    we Dutchies rule all!

  • correct, rage got their inspiration from UDS.

  • Wow, This song is like Awesomeeeee!
