I prefer this acoustic version than the way she sings it now, 'cause we can actually hear her beautiful voice! Great stuff, and great Lindsey's solo :).
I was at this concert in 2000. Every time I hear this version of the song, it takes me back to how delirious everyone was with delight to hear this song. No one expected to hear it, especially with just the guitars and Stevie.
I don't know if it was because she remembered I had given her a ribbon rose once when she was in Atlanta ( The only flower she brought back out on stage after the encore) or because she felt that I had spent nearly $600.00 in tickets just to see her show and only got to use one ticket out of 6 I bought.
Stevie was awesome with her performance.
I have photos of another concert if anyone wants a copy of some good Stevie Pix.
I tried to get her and another friend to go but she already had tickets and so I told her to take them to the show and give them away if she had to.
The tickets were never used and it hurt me really bad that she was that way about them but I still got to see Stevie at Sandstone and the best of all, She took both of my hands and held them tightly.
The best "LIVE" song the she has done is one that you don't see on any of her regular CD's / Albums.
The song "Gold And Braid" is worth seeing in concert.
I bought 4 tickets to see her in Atlanta but then had to move to Kansas just before the concert so I was not able to attend that concert and the seats were front row.
I gave the tickets to a girl ( Angie O.) who used to be my friend.
I am so happy someone posted this! I drove from Salt Lake City to Arizona for this concert. (I've done it a few times) It was my all-time favorite Stevie concert! There was such an energy. It's impossible for me to explain. I came home in the best mood I'd ever been in and it lasted for weeks. It was like the feeling of falling in love...all started by one concert. As for this song specifically, I had tears in my eyes by the end, and so did many people around me. Nicks was never better.
Wow, what a spectacular find! This was my very first Stevie Nicks concert. My mother and I flew out to AZ for the weekend from New Jersey to see her perform. I remember this AHI performance as though it were yesterday. What a wonderful lady who keeps the magic going after all these years! "I have no fear ~ I have only Love." Many thanks for posting this! ^^
Sure was! Not only did we get to wrap ourselves around Stevie's haunting poetry, but we got to see Lindsay Buckingham, Sheryl Crow, Chris Isaac and Don Henley. Of all the songs that night, this is the one that sticks with me, after all these years. ^^
I wish we could... make every dream come true...
