i have a 2008 charger SRT8 and i absolutely love it, everywhere i go i get stared at. whenever i lineup with some kid with a civic or some other ricer at a light they cant help but try to race me. poor poor kids. they just dont know. I just wished dodge would have the SRT team off the leash a little. The exhaust has so much potential but a cat back exhaust system is the only way to let the engine roar. also the hood scoop is non functional. however t does cool down the engine.

@Fireman2082 SRT is now its own brand (under the Chrysler parent company of course). But with Giles in charge, I think we'll see some nice SRT cars coming out. We already have but this is the begining. I'm a fan as well. Glad you like your car, I can't imagine how fun it is. Now they need to offer an updated auto and manual for the Charger.

@3asmeik: It all depends on what gas prices are where you live and how big your tank is.  Granted the Charger most likely has a bigger tank, but where I live, premium gas is under $3.10. When I said almost E I didn't mean on the verge of the car shutting down. I mean't around 1/8 tank or a hair over. My other car take regular and take anywhere from $29-$32 to fill depending obviously on how low the tank is when you fill it. Gas mileage isn't great on this car, but it's well worth it!

I have to be honest...I traded in an 04 Hemi Ram 1500 for a Dodge Charger SRT8...best decision ever! I am a Challenger lover but the Charger is more practical for my life. The SRT8 require premium gas...and I still pay less than I did to fill my truck. Granted the truck had a bigger tank, but don't let these people fool you. Unless you're poor the gas doesn't put a hurt on you at all. I filled up from almost E and spent $40. Truck would have been $60+

It is truly amazing what one of these family sedans can do. When I went to the SRT track experience after I bought the challenger everyone got to drive all the current SRT vehicles except the viper. In case anyone was wondering SRT stands for street and racing technology.

I just bought one of these used in the dark red. Don't let anyone lie to you...this may be a heavy car but it is fast. That 6.1L V8 gets this car moving...and it hates going slow. That's probably the only problem the car has. You try to take it easy and drive slow around town and the car hates it...the car wants the pedal to the floor.  Great car! Completely happy with it. I have wanted one since they hit the market and I refused to get any less than an SRT-8 and it was well worth the wait.

The Ford comparison of the SRT-8, and R/T is the Taurus SHO, the Chevy comparison is the Impala SS.

This is one of the only cars that wont turn into Fiat styling. That's why it's my favorite car.

Love this car. I had it for a while VERY powerful brut car. It feels like a GT and very muscly. It sounds WOW. But its value diminished within a very short time. Beside once you start having mechanical issues, it will never stop breaking down.

I just wish the put more into strengthening the mechanical body and reduce complexity. It will be also appreciated if they put more into customer support and service + 5yrs guarantee. I will buy it again with premium.
