"The Rebel Conservative"... Amazing to think that this essentially predicted the rise of "The Compassionate Conservative" model. Hell, maybe this film even inspired it.

There are at least three things wrong with this:

1. Every folk singer I ever heard was very liberal. In fact, liberalism and folk music seem to go hand in hand.

2. Hippies in the 60s seemed to be badly informed about the horrible conditions in communist countries. Or if they weren't badly informed about them, they actually supported those communist dictatorships.

3. Politicians usually don't explicitly voice their most offensive opinions but waffle about them instead.

Matt McGrath and Matt Faber are in this too. I love that deleted scene that they and Jack Black are in. The great scene plays at 15:03 to 15:28 into the deleted scenes. Tim made a hugew mistake cutting the scene out of the movie. The scene starts with a man sleeping on the grass. Calvin is sitting. A man says to him "You don't look well" He replies "I'm not feeling very well" They talk. The other guys ask Calvin "What? What did you say?" That's not all that happens in it. Please watch it.
