No that's not it. They did this during one of their tours in Europe, and they have concerts almost EVERY day when on tour there. So most of the time, bands like Tokio Hotel, that have concerts almost everyday, will lip sync because putting so much strain on his voice like that is what caused him to have surgery in the first place.
