Phil is a better player than this guy by far...the problem is that Phil is a conservative player. He likes to keep the pots small. Toto, however, is a wildly aggressive player. I think he knew he was ahead of Toto in most of his hands, but he kept making assumptions. He assumed someone wouldn't reraise him all in with a hand like AQ. When he finally stood up to Toto, Toto sucked out on him anyway. Sucks for Phil here.

Phil's problem is that he does read well, he does play well, his problem is that he misses opportunities to win hands. The second hand, you HAVE to raise there. If they have a set, they'll raise so you know. But you can't let someone with a straight or flush draw and maybe a funky suited king catch there. You HAVE to push big.

First, there is a reason why Phil makes a LOT of final tables and TL does NOT. Second, if you notice, even as TL is bluffing Phil off, Phil has a LOT more chips. Third, the skill Phil is talking about includes the ability to put donks like TL on hands and get your money in good. Luck is a very short term concept. Skill ALWAYS prevails over time. ie, 11 bracelets vs. TL having 0.

Hellmuth set Toto up folding the AK and the QQ then on the last hand shown he was a favorite to win but lost to the river. My question is: why didin't Phil call on the AK or the QQ or raise all in on the QQ hand. His strategy is old and he need to change it. This has happened to him a lot recently and he needs to change and make moves with great hands like QQ and AK.

why i lose with pocket ace two times and pocket king one time and lose 500 dollar in bellagio last winter. silly cowboy people bet everything with King ten in pre-flop and make straight when i have ace. people then say poker is skill. my girlfriend bet everything all in with king queen hearts and won over $1000 and other person have ace king and pocket jack. that must be skill then. even my girlfriend say she got lucky. poker is luck game.

Everyone here is saying how bad Toto's plays are, but what did Phil do to stop him? I don't know the chip counts, but by the time Phil makes his stand, Toto has run over him so many times that he can simply afford to keep trying it. This clip is all 4 and 3 handed poker. Phil played TOO TIGHT.

Phil's problem is that he does read well, he does play well, his problem is that he misses opportunities to win hands. The second hand, you HAVE to raise there. If they have a set, they'll raise so you know. But you can't let someone with a straight or flush draw and maybe a funky suited king catch there. You HAVE to push big.

First, there is a reason why Phil makes a LOT of final tables and TL does NOT. Second, if you notice, even as TL is bluffing Phil off, Phil has a LOT more chips. Third, the skill Phil is talking about includes the ability to put donks like TL on hands and get your money in good. Luck is a very short term concept. Skill ALWAYS prevails over time. ie, 11 bracelets vs. TL having 0.

That is the worst way to lose. Ive had the same thing, super aggressive player who you let run over you knowing there will be a spot where you will take all his chips. You correctly find the spot and then he sucks out. This is the one time I can forgive Phil. That hurt.

Hellmuth set Toto up folding the AK and the QQ then on the last hand shown he was a favorite to win but lost to the river. My question is: why didin't Phil call on the AK or the QQ or raise all in on the QQ hand. His strategy is old and he need to change it. This has happened to him a lot recently and he needs to change and make moves with great hands like QQ and AK.
