@Kameokaclan They were in the original patch of castle crashers where 256 was the level cap not 99. When they saw that once you reached 256 the games was too easy so they reduced the cap and removed some items that increased stats, like the gloves for example, they increased your resistance to ice magic. All those who had attained 256 kept their 256 at the time of the patch, when someone dicovered a way to clone characters from one game to another, the 256`s spread. So I`ve heard.
