@fireside007 Hi Mike, I'm glad you liked it. I liked the job too - nonstop hustle it seemed. I was Red Horse also - Utapao 554th in 72-73. I think we had a detachment at Clark but i never got sent there. Just passed through a few times on my way to or from the world.

Great slideshow and music. I was stationed at Udorn from May 1969 to May 1970 in

432nd CES. Strange how forty years ago can seem like only yesterday.

I enjoyed the pictures of Ubon. I was there from Jan 8 69 to May 1 69 I came PCS from Utapao. I worked in POL but spent most of my time working nights at the train staion in warin off loading JP-4. I was in charge of all the fuel for ground support for about a month so did get near the flightline then. Loved Ubon much nicer than UT.

There is a yahoo group Utapao Alumni Association we do have members that were never at UT so check us out.

@budvanbaker Thanks Bud, I agree, I liked Ubon the best of all the places I was at in Thailand. I'm in the UT group too. Red Horse at UT - a few pics there.

I was assigned to 8th SP squadron, Ubon RTAFB, 1965 - 1966. Saw you guys all the time while pulling close perimeter and hard stand posts. Good times, indeed...

Don't know of a site for 432 CES but there is a group in yahoo groups called the Udorn Research Group. People from many organizations that were at Udorn

Thanks guys - I was at Udorn from Sep'69 to Mar'71, Ubon from Mar'71 -Mar'72, Korat from Mar'75 to Jan'76, and squeezed in another year at Utapao Sep'72 - Sep'73. I didn't work Barriers at Utapao. Barriers were a part of CES. Electrical Power Production AFSC.

Excellent photos of the barrier operations at Ubon RTAFB during the Vietnam War. Sure brought back many memories. I was assigned to the AC-130 Spectre Gunships 1971-72, 16th SOS, 8th FMS. Thank you again, GP
