I've been working on an experiment, dubbed " your water on house music". Would you mind sharing what prompted you to do this experiment? I'm dying to know.
you can do what i did when i got my new ones... Burn them? but be careful, i got hit by an exploding capacitor, it was probably only small but when they burn they can still have force when they finally give.
but mine broke so i decided to take out the drivers.
i had them for like one year liying around and lost one of these, now ive tried blow it up but it didnt work!i pumped it for like 1.5 hors ,@ 8 watts*it was rated for 2wattsrms 3 watts max) with the hardest bass test n yt,but it didnt blow!it got super hot tho.
its strong as fuck!
use them as room decoration now cuy the look nice LOL
uhh, what? surely theres a stereo around your home that's more than 8 watts? I've successfully blown upto 20 watt speakers using my 120Watt Sony home stereo.
maybee if they were in a better enclosure, unfortunatly these guys were no better than laptop speakers, actually I lie, they were only JUST louder than my girlfriends Toshiba Harmon Kardon laptop speakers but their clarity sucks at anything higher than half.
lol im seruis i still dont get it i have thought about this for like 2 weeks are u putting the watter in the actaul speaker or is their like seran wrap
Be carful, if you get the right frequency the hole thing can go up on you, it will most likely implode with very little damage though because the plasma force is much stronger then the hydrogen and it will implode.
I basically used a fluctuating Sine wave, not sure what Hz it was in, but I pitch bent the note from C7 to C3 and slowly back up, as you can slightly hear in the video. Thnx 4 tha comment,, They're very good considering the price, and they can last days with some standard AAA batteries.
they're ok for $10-$20, I mean they can run off 4 AAA Batteries and they last ages on the batteries, I didn't have to change the batteries for 1 week of every 2nd day use.
hm. you should try with cornstarch and water. i've heard 1part water to 10 parts cornstarch at 60Hz produces some odd effects with the surface is disturbed...
So what did we learn today? An increase in volume means an increase in wave amplitude. An increase in pitch is an increase in wave frequency. Very good, class. But no, I would probably do that if I got bored. Last time I ended up programming my GBA to act as a SNES controller. It's not fast enough to work with all games, though. Oh well. Nice professional presentation, though. Would have been nice with a wrap-up involving some charts of captured data.
yup, quite well, even if they broke down, which they wouldn't have as the cone is 100% plastic, they were only very cheap, I got them from a show-bag :-P lol.
me too i have the same speakers

I have a pair of these. They're EXTREMELY loud, and have decent bass, but the quality is just HORRIBLE.

@xSephironx mine wasn't even louder than my 0.5inch laptop speakers and sounds really cheap compared to laptop, any ideas?

it is a nice experiment, but is really annoying that you put that fucking music, when the sines are part of the experiment

I guess most people find the Sine noises kind of boring.

Thanks for trying, though I find it ironic that it goes out of focus as you get closer & the lighting's too dark.
Oh well, maybe next time.

Hey... boredom has created some of the most fantastic things we take for granted today.
What frequencies / pitches where you using? Hzt range?
i doubt you were blasting that techno during the experiment.
You should include the original audio with it so we can see Exactly what you do in hopes to replicate it.
yea.. they're great lil speakers huh!!! Got mine at Radio Shack! They don't sell um anymore there though...

djlobb 4 years ago
cool effect! I doubt they still work, right?
by the way since so many of you own them and i need a pair of speakers do you find those a quality buy? I want them as a cheap/quick outdoor solution

they still worked, i mean the wate didn't get to the circuitry inside, after all, the speaker cone is made of hard plastic instead of paper cone.

cool dancing water, you need to put some tiny marbles in it and see how it bounces.
LTF85199 4 years ago
lol, yeh, i tried little balls but they bounce out straight away.
djlobb 4 years ago
put a glass barrier or anything hold'em back
isbtr 4 years ago
Hmmm...'They bounce out straight away' eh?
What size and weight were these little balls?
How much energy was used to make the sound frequency?
Could be onto something here...small amount of energy to move large objects...see where i'm going with my thinking here?
