  • I have a 1970 pw arms redmond wa z.m. lucznik 9x18 p-64 made in poland and the factory mag holds 6+1 chambered and it fires real well, paid $180 and it came with two mags,it goesnt say makarov on the pistol but it takes the 9x18 makarov rounds

After shooting it about 30 to 40 times i dnt regret buying it at all

  • By the way, it holds 5 rounds in the magazine plus one in the chamber of 9x18 makarov rounds.

  • its 6+1, not 5+1.

  • Not on my Makarov. I can put 5 in the magazine and 1 in the chamber. If I could put a 6th bullet in the magazine I would need a vise to hold down the magazine while I put the 6th round by pressure...lol. Even the 5th round is very hard to put in the magazine.

Are you talking about the same model and year and place of manufacture? Mine is a 1973 9x18 Makarov P-64 made in Radom, Poland.

    Which one do you own?

  • Mine barely fits 6 in the mag, but the mag won't seat/lock into place in the mag well-so mines 5 too. 5+1 for a little hidden pistol is pretty decent.

  • mine holds 6+1 factory Mags

  • Makarov P-64 is very, very accurate. I bought mine for $99 with 2 magazines. Very solid handgun & very good as a concealed carry weapon. I always carry it with me in the house. I recomend it.

  • whats the trigger pull on the gun?

  • Walther PPK Clone(almost)

  • also Bersa .380

  • Just bought a P64 from J & G Sales for 159.00. I can't believe the condition it is in! It looks unfired. Very solid. HEAVY double action trigger pull, but seems like it makes the gun safer for pocket carry. I'm going to buy another one.

  • How is the single action on it? accurate?

  • About 3lb. single action pull. It's accurate, I still need practice. = )

  • very nice....Seems like a good little equalizer for the buck...

  • is this gun worth spending money on?

  • well, that was the worst gun in polish police, we all hate it.

  • it is very inacurate! there was P-83 after P-64, better but not very much.

  • Mine is very accurate -- especially for its size. Uses Makarov ammo, but Is no more a Makarov than a P-38 is a Luger because P-38s fire 9mm Luger ammo.

  • Don't know what's wrong with the one you've got, but I can consistently make head shots at 20 yards with mine...

  • there is nothing wrong with mine - they all are same. It was my service gun, I had 4. Compare to Makarov or P-83!

  • My father is polish policeman and he has P-64 in his work . But now in Poland onl officers have P-64 , another policeman have glock or walther p99 - the plastic shit .

  • This (PA64)pistol is not copy of the Makarov. It fires the Makarov round 9x18, but is more like a Walter PP in design.

  • For you this is funny, but this guns are using to this days in Polish Police

  • I've got a 1972 P-64, made in Radom, Poland.

Great little pistol, only jammed twice, the day I bought it, before I cleaned it. Pistol+2 magazines...$150! See one grab it!

  • Yeah that's not technically a Mak, it's actually mechanically much closer to the Walther PP. (on which the Mak was based)

    Fine handgun though.

  • Technically? It is simply not a Mak and a Mak was not based on a Walther PP.

  • That isn't a Makarov. With a mod or two, its just as good as a Mak, looks better, less expensive, similiar to a ppk, and pretty rare..... ummm, I want one.

  • they're awesome pistols! i have a 1961 e.german that simply doesn't care what ammo i use ...it reliably fires it and accurately! pretty good for a gun of that age.

  • makarovs are the best dang hand gun there is.
