PERSONALLY, I really love the old Kataklysm, when they had Sylvain Houde on vocals. Very extreme, heavy, brutal...Temple of Knowledge (Kataklysm Part III) and Sorcery are 2 Kataklym albums I would recommand to you.

@TheLastOneStanding5 considering how Kataklysm hardly passes as death metal, try Chimaira, same amount of heaviness, also invest in At The Gates. If you feeling daring enough for Technical Brutality, try Decrepit Birth's first album, Necrophagist or Spawn of Possession.

For thrash, you might wanna try Toxic Holocaust, they seem lame at first but after I saw them live they were heavy as fuck. Also Kreator, any album, they range from old school thrash to newer melodic thrash, SLAYER is fine.
