  • Alan=hottest man I will never get to bed.....sadness

  • god her accent is awful

  • @teebone593 It's supposed to be. She's just supposed to be pretty, and not really that talented.

  • Who plays Fraulein Kost?

  • @kokoricharmed Charlotte Medcalf

  • he looks like glenn gould

  • i am currently playing the officer

  • Wasn't that guy in Thunderpants???

  • @ultamatefrogmaster LOL no but he did have a bit part in love actualy

  • @Thegreenroomgroup Ah right. He looks a bit like that Placebo guy is all. Who was he in Love actually??

  • @ultamatefrogmaster no it was just a bitpert as the headmaster of the school.... but no by the power of imdb you are spot on on the thunderpants bit... oh dear.. however his acting palmers is briliant and is not short of work.

  • @Thegreenroomgroup Ah yes I remember now! Yes other than Emcee he was my favourite in this, so it would have been shocking to see him out of work.

  • @ultamatefrogmaster He was also in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as Mr Teavee, Mika Teavee's dad? That's where I see him from :p

  • @xnoelfieldingsgirlx Oh yeh!! :D

  • my school is doing this as a play and i have to admit i question how we are going to do this without making our principal upset... lol

  • I like that Alan made it his own

  • LOVE her. So what!

  • Who plays Cliff and Sally?

  • @miduchalan1 imdb

  • Fraulein Schneider sounds like edna mode hahaha

  • @FAVERSHAMBOY She also reminds me of Frau from Austin Powers.

  • That woman is a magnificent singer and portrayal of Fraulein Schneider

  • @bigggstarrr You're a retard. It's called acting. She's a fantastic singer. Listen to her held notes. That's natural vibrato and perfect control.

  • @punkrocknation12345 notice the tension in her head and neck. that vibrato is anything but natural and controlled. its forced and tense. it sounds like it hurts when she sings.

  • This Fraulein Schneider is captivating.

  • @bigggstarrr Never say that, unless your ignorant ass can do better job. :D

  • I love this interpretation of So What :D

  • @bwaygirl234 Think about what the song is talking about before you start slamming someone's acting abilities. Schneider is recounting all her past troubles.. Put yourself in her shoes, I'm sure you wouldn't be super-happy singing a similar song..

  • @PrinceHector100 if you can read properly, which you cant, you would note that i didn't mention anything about her acting ability. i mearly commented on her deplorable accent and her poor vocal technique. her acting is fine.

so before you start slamming people, maybe you should buy some hooked on phonics and learn to read, so you stop embarrassing yourself.

and ive played this role, so i think i should know a thing or two about what the song is about.

  • HER VOICE IS WEIMAR!

  • @rhonesilva I couldn't agree more! She really sounds like someone who has been through a lot!

  • Cliff looks like the face of Mad Magazine

  • Oh alan you make me laugh LUV YOU!!!!

  • who is the actress who plays Fraulein Schneider?

  • Sara Kestelman

  • cabaret... i love this!

  • Is this the entire original cast or just Alan Cumming?

  • @MHayes1323 I think it's none of the original cast. I know for a fact that Alan Cumming is NOT the original Emcee.. That would be Joel Grey. This is the original revival cast however though I think..

  • @PrinceHector100 Except for Schnider as of so far

  • @PrinceHector100 Well, not exactly the cast that opened the revival on Broadway. This is the cast that premiered in the West End at the Donmar. Jane Horrocks as Sally, whereas the Broadway cast included Natasha Richardson as Sally

  • @fountainchain126 Who plays Cliff?

  • @PrinceHector100 this is not the original revival cast. that cast would include mary louise wilson as schneider, natasha richardson as sally bowles, john benjamin hickey as cliff, dennis o'hare as ernst and ron rifkin as schultz.

the only cast member from the original revival cast is alan cumming.

  • @bwaygirl234 this is the original revival from London, they changed casts when the came to America. So yes, it is the original revival cast.

  • The man who plays cliff, his american accent is terrible

  • AH ALAN CUMMING!!! ^_______^

  • Does anyone know if Frau. Schneider actually convinces Cliff to pay the extra 50, or does she let him rent for just 50 marks? I've tried to figure it out, and am guessing that he's only giving her 50, but am not quite sure..

  • @PrinceHector100 Yes, she allows him to pay only 50.

  • Awesome, thanks.

  • I did this show in college and played kost.

it was funny the last night our herr ludwig said "berlin will open its legs to you"

  • Brilliant song. I can't believe I've never seen this before.

  • I agree with a lot of people Joel was great but I think Alan was better truthfully. He just gives so much more in my opinion, I guess I mean he the character so much more his own :D

  • i think it is difficult to say... the hole play is so different now than it was then :) The role is different too... and they both did a great job, just as you said

  • ASKUMBABALUM SEABALUE is this guy gay?

  • OF COURSE IS GAY

  • The character of Cliff is gay. The actor who plays the emcee (Alan Cumming) is bi.

  • when was this televised??????

i love cabaret its my favorite show!! and alan cumming is a freaking genius in the theater!

  • I always wondered what Nightcrawler did before he joined the X Men.

  • Well, in the comics they always said that Nightcrawler gave into his "lustful desires". Lol

  • Many people are comparing this version and the orginal version with Joel. I think that both were wonderful, meaniful, and as always, highly entertaining. They aren't meant to be compared, they are meant to be different adaptations and enjoyed.

  • Right On! Enjoy each for it's own merit. Each has his or her own interpretation.

  • Well said!

  • @picklesandmilk4u whether by original with joel you mean the original broadway version or the movie (both of which he stared in as emcee) i agree, they're both just as good as each other

  • Anybody know when this was televised?

  • 1994 i think

  • i really prefer the bradway version of cabaret better than the movie. i dont know, i like the songs in the movie and the way they are preformed but the story line is boring. this play is just better on stage.

  • is it on DVD?

  • i love this song! its so great and she does an amazing job!! i wish i could have seen this on broadway. :D

  • I really do love this song. It's amazing.

  • wow, I like the Bradshaw in this alot.

  • Is this the whole show?

  • Yes, if you watch all the parts. :D

  • one of my favorite songs from this production

  • Eileen Brennan would be great for this role.

  • i like her voice, it unique

thanks so much for posting this

  • It's really impressive how the sets change - Mendes draws our attention to something specific, for example, the Emcee, and when the lights are back on all of the chairs are gone! :-D

  • I know she doesn't exactly have the best voice, but I absolutely love it!! I think she's fantastic! xD

  • she's not meant to have the best voice.

  • Her voice is pretty good, though. She hits all the notes, and she is able to act through her singing. Not many people can do that.

  • I think I love you. THANK YOU so much for posting this.

Now, excuse me while I continue freaking out over it xD

  • I too am worshiping you now!!

  • Cabaraeeeeeeet (drool)

You should know that there is a small group a LadyFriends in Australia who worship you for posting this!
