i always save spiders.... and any insect that happens across my path....I dont like touching them... I guess I am conditioned that way... well, i guess some dont freak me out... I catch them in a glass and put them in the garden....My little son is the same way. We had ants invade our bathroom and he said "MOM!! what do we do? We cant kill them."
Deeply moving, brings to mind how curious it is that I can sometimes find it easier to truly care for the plight of an animal or endangered species than those of my own kind. Shouldn't be so, but there you have it. Thanks once again Patrick for firing up the synapses.
There is no death. Only transformation. All living things have the choice to transform. Sometimes, we make the choice for others. And even fewer feel the guilt.
i absolutely love your uploads and recitations! What you do and how you do it is pure genius. A biiiiiig thankyou for sharing all your work with us in this very special way. Peace.
Such a powerful message here. We take so much for granted. We free the butterfly because he's colourful and pretty yet stomp on or cast aside the big black bugs. All life is sacred and precious and the sooner we realize this the sooner we shall have peace on this earth.
IF WE want to survive on our planet, there is a evolutionary revolution of our way of thinking URGENTLY requested, we have to overcome short term win over long term damages ... !!
Deep, I have felt this way before. It's sad and unfortunate because many individuals don't have the same altruistic attitudes towards other forms of life, they don't realize that we are sharing this earth with all the other creatures that inhabit it.
Amazing this guy Snordelhans! I wish he would also state what music he uses. Sometimes I realize I've heard it before but forgot the names of the artists.
i couldnt even imagine what it would be like not to see animals and fish as people, thats why I don't see how eating people is so taboo. It's all bad. When I play with bugs, its very obvious they know whats going on. I communicate with the plants, that I plant. They talk too, just look at them when they're thirsty, it's VERY obvious. You can tell that I'm not insane. I think the people who don't live like this are really gonna be fucked up when this thing comes, or happens, or whatever.
The ignorant are in TROUBLE. It’s ELE for those that CHOOSE NOT to COMMUNE.
Good Riddance, but saddening.
Respect the Nature that GIVES US AIR TO BREATH! And THAT is just the beginning.

Get IT or DIE. Your choice. It is that serious and the SOLUTION is that SIMPLE.
But life is more like the second scenario you describe. I don't see much of a chance of changing how the majority acts in its uncaring manner. Maybe we must just accept the world as it is since it is unlikely we are going to see change for the better. Perhaps evolution as it progresses in the human race will move in a more positive direction. However, I do not hold out much hope for this to occur.
"Do we just kick others out of our way?" Hmmmmm.....do we?

Still, my normally gentle Birman growls with warrior lust when a bird alights near his window-barriered gaze ;o)
Beautiful; thank you.

Please accept my small poem:
"Every clock in my house shows a different time; but, they all want to say the same thing."
Love your work..

Oh Patrick ~ You've done it again. THANK YOU!
Most of the comments & compliments here are as meaningful & insightful as this poignant piece. Definitely~ "Birds of a feather."
I was also reminded of the following which I first read in 1974 ~
"Love is a butterfly, which when pursued is often just beyond your grasp, but if you sit down quietly, may alight upon you." Unknown
No prizes for guessing that I adore all creatures great & small ~ apart from mossies, roaches, wasps & hornets.
