The original japanese anime is much better than the edited 4 kids version, because it includes bars (complete with sake sitting on the table), people gambling in the Satellite - which is 'inappropiate for kids in America >_> - there is blood; like when Yusei and Jack crash their D-Wheels, and I'm pretty sure 4 kids 'edited the hell' out of Akiza's D-Wheel uniform or just omitted those scenes with her wearing it altogether. Oh, and only the Jpn. Version has the cool soundtracks you find on YT.

I can't decide between the English dub or the English sub, I prefer some of the English voices, but the English subs tend to be better quality, plus they have a kick-ass theme song. ARGH WHY?!

@adept91 Well that's a bit rude. I am a huge fan of 5D's, but I prefer the dub. I know it sounds weird, but I just can't enjoy the subbed version. It's too serious for me. Just because I watch the dubs doesn't make me any less of a fan. Also, 4Kids' trial isn't finished yet, they might come back.

@Ninjisy Oh god I hope not. Serious isn't a bad thing, but 4kids ruined the pokemon movies (especially the first), slaughtered dubbed One Piece, destroyed Shaman King, and made a mockery of any Yugioh they dubbed.

I'm honestly not surprised they got caught doing something illegal. I won't question the reason for you prefering crappy dubs, but I'd watch what I say around serious fans.

@Avacnela I don't know, but if I were to guess, it's probably because 4Kids doesn't feel like buying the rights to using the song, and even if they did buy the rights for the song, they'd have to make an English version for it, and 4Kids doesn't feel like doing that. Thus, they come up with their own intros.

@cinematographystudio Considering I felt exactly the same way about synchros until actually watching the series, I can say that I actually like this new addition to the game. It's merely another style of playing the game that just happens to be one of the focal points in the series; similar to how fusions were in GX. Synchro's actually make you pay attention to the star levels on every monster. Try playing with Yusei's deck in TF5 and maybe you'll see what I mean. They can be a lot of fun..

I must admit this opening looks much better with the Orginal cast edited in You know Atem as yusei, Kaiba as jack and so on. 5d's is a good series but nothing beat the orignal series

Yeah, me too because in season 1 card games on motorcycles exist, but normal card games on duel disks exist too. In season 2 and 3; especially season 3; normal card games are not played, even Leo and Luna do not play them.

you just made me realise why it is I dislike  season 3 of Yugioh 5d's there are basicly no Normal duels only turbo duels that and the fact that most of the season is filler boring filler at that. Season 1 was the best because it showed how yusei went from living in poverty basicly to become the best duelest in New Domino city Season 3 is really bland
