They should make another Unreal game to continue the original story of the series. The game designers put a lot of effort into the Unreal Tournament Series that they simply forgot how the original looks like. (sorry about my bad english)

This is probably my favourite of the Unreal soundtracks. Took my breath away first time I played the 1 player map that used this soundtrack.

Little puzzled why you chose "Unreal Tourny" as the picture logo and not "Unreal". Tournament was the sequel ( & inferior imo ) game.

perhaps some will say it's just nostalgia but it's hard to disagree that the atmosphere in this game was really something special at that time, and even now. You don't see many sci-fi shooters today that are able to hit that mark with the same touch and variety of the different environments this game had. I think Unreal 1 deserves more credit than it has been given.

@iu2687 Amen to that, Unreal is an extremely underrated game. In my opinion, the original Half-life is overrated and so many people think it is superior. Well I have to disagree.

@skate4life56 I really enjoyed the Half-Life series but I turn my attention to a more engaging, thrilling experience. Unreal did make Half-Life a bit boring.

It was games like this when 'Agent_W' first made an appearance. Team Fortress Classic preceded this series though. I still use the same gamertag and it is over 10 years old.

This game is epic, just the same as Deus Ex, i don't know how it is, but i think it's because we all played it here in our early years, or let's call it when the games where upcomming. We didn't realise it was possible by then, we played it and we really enjoyed it, we lived along with the game. Nowadays it's just aim and kill, there it was with a master story (f.a.: U1 beginning in crashed space shuttle prison.) EPIC. Really, i miss those times :( Good ooold times :(

These companies are all about profit.

Games like Unreal & Deus Ex are a thing of the past, corporate profit is the future along with worse games.

Warren Spector (DX creator) said it himself.....putting so much effort into DX just isn't worth it when you can put a lot less into a eye-candy-shoot-em-up and still make the sales.

Games design is an art like music, not something that should be exploited for profit.

Unfortunately, most things are like this now. Books, movies, music, all forms of entertainment, etc, etc.

Fortunately, I do enjoy World of Warcraft, even though it isn't as plot intensive and creative as, say, Dragon Age: Origins.

Probably because they get rich just by licensing the engine, probably get another UT for UE4, doubt we'll see another single-player game again unless some mods one.

easily the best soundtrack music in any game, ever, period. I still listen to it every now and then to relax. I will forever be grateful to my pc genius comprade (and ultimate lan and net connection nemesis!!!) for extracting this music from the game files years ago. I have backups of backups just in case. Unreal rocked!!!!
