This isn't even a 2011 accord?! The Kizashi is not a midsized car either, the interior is clearly below class standards, this is the type of car you get to feel premium over say a nissan versa. The only feature that the accord sedan doesn't have is the all wheel drive but its on the crosstour. I don't think many ppl compare the two cars, what the accord "lacks" in features it more than makes up for in build quality. This car is nice but its not on the level of accord.
what you failed to mention was the cost of ownership, regular maintence on that suzuki will kill anyone but the rich, my sister has an areo or whatever they are called and the blower motor went out, suzuki and their genius designers are the only ones that make a blower motor that will fit those cars no aftermarket group to produce this so 600 dollars later for a blower motor her car has heat again.
You compared a LOADED Suzuki against a MID LEVEL Accord. Besides the Accord featured in the video was NOT A 2011 model. The Accord has better RESALE VALUE compared to the Suzuki, gets better gas milage & has MORE interior room.
Accord looks so basic and plain, while the Kizashi looks just marvelous, with more standard HP and a lower price tag. Honda is the generic brand of all car manufacturers.
Yeah, at the end of the video in the fine print it says "This video is a paid advertisement. Copyright American Suzuki Motor Corporation 2011". They need to get new PR people, everyone sees right through this and will distrust them as a brand with misleading video titles like this.
Wow. I'm impressed. This review does a great job of summarizing the important points made by a variety of other sources all in one place. The winter-test results were something I've never seen before. I look forward to browsing your channel, but I really hope you can upload higher quality video. 360p just doesn't cut it.
Well i think both cars are great in my opinion. Both Japanese auto makes Hondas are known a bit more well Suzuki isn't. At least their not Korean junks!
I'm a long-time fan of Honda, but recent Honda products seem to be lacking. For one, the designs are bland and boring, and the quality and value has dropped, in my opinion, when compared to what you could get in the '90's models. By comparison, the Suzuki is a better looking car than the Accord. On the other hand, I don't know who selected this particular, brown, boring accord to go up against a fiery red, chromed out Kizashi. There are better Accords. I'm thinking the test is biased anyway.
i like the suzuki....but id still take the accord. both the 2011 accord and suzuki have 2.4 liter engines. weird tho that the accord has 177 hp and the suzuki has 185 hp...my 07 acura tsx has 205 hp and the duel climate control she was praising so much...
This video reminds me of the video made by GM's Oldsmobile Achieva. It was compared to the Honda Accord and won in every aspect of the "review" -- where are they now? I don't see any of them on the road. But I still see some 80's Accord still on the road. Don't be fooled folks!
@peterkim1999 One problem with your analogy. That may be true about the Oldsmobile Achieva, but it's clearly not true about Suzuki. In countries where Suzuki sells comparable or even greater amounts of cars than Honda, such as in Japan and India, you see just as many old Suzuki's on the road from the 80's as you do Honda, Toyota, Nissan etc. As for GM's 80's cars, well that's a whole different story.
You know something this Kizashi is a really good looking car. But I could NEVER buy one with the CVT-that dumb transmission curses the whole car. CVTs are terrible and offer no advantage over a conventional automatic. They need to go!
@kevinmsft This particular Suzuki is made by a Korean company that went bankrupt in the early 2000's called Daewoo, who GM snatched up at a bargain. Now GM puts the Japanese name behind a GM car... nice!!!
@peterkim1999 absolutely wrong. Kizashi has nothing to do with Daewoo or GM. You are confusing it with the discontinued Suzuki Verona, back when Suzuki and GM were partners which hasn't been the case since 2007. Kizashi is a 100% Suzuki designed platform from the ground up. It's easily researchable, the design team were 20 Suzuki engineers from Japan and India, the same engineers that designed the Swift from the ground up.
the accord is much roomier and refined. the rear seat in the kizashi is not near as big as the accord, which is also much more reliable. this review is gay. how come i haven't seen one kizashi on the road and tons of accords and yet the kizashi gets a satisfaction award? the car is built cheap. i prefer the sonata to both these cars but the accord is much better than the shitsashi
@yetboquinto That means absolutely nothing considering that Honda was in the U.S. way before Suzuki was and Honda sold 1000% more cars than Suzuki ever did, so it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that you are going to see more Hondas on the road. DUH???
Talk about a blatant, one-sided, review. Wonder how much RoadReview got paid to play the Suzuki shill on this one? The review leads one to believe there's not one single area the Accord excels in. Were that true, Honda wouldn't be enjoying the year-after-year success it does. Side note: Honda doesn't need to offer extended motor warranties because Honda, the world's largest engine manufacturer, just doesn't have engine failures...not even when they race as the only motor in the IRL!!
@Snookynibbles you know normally I think people who write scathing comments about reviews are unjustified, but I must admit this was extremely bias. What I assume was going through their head is that most people know about the accord already, but even then, they mention "power windows power locks keyless entry" in a quick dull slide, then go off for a full minute about how great the kizashi is. . .disappointing, because the camera work is pretty good.

I don't think Honda has anything to worry about coming from Suzuki....lol
If anything, Hyundai is the car company Honda should pay attention to :)

What they fail to mention is that the Honda will retain it's value and have far fewer problems down the line.....
The Honda will be worth twice as much as the Suzuki down the road
