The line that hit me the hardest was "if I was to say you made me a one woman man, it wouldn't be true because you made me a one soul person, cause even if I were to lose my mind, die, and come back to life as a woman, I could still only love you."
This was goooooood. I don't mean to but into your arguement with that dude from a year ago, but while I'm a huge Neruda fan, I don't see that you should have to 'give the man a nod', the poems aren't similar at all.

Inspiration in poetry is very individualistic. When you listen to poetry keep this quote by Thomas Carlyle in mind "The merit of originality is not novelty; it is sincerity. The believing man is the original man; whatsoever he believes, he believes it for himself, not for another."
i don't understand why people think this piece was inspired by Neruda.. many poets have tackled the same concept and though there is a slight resemblance when looking at the underlying meaning of your poetry.. it by no means insinuates Neruda was the only poet who ever induced his work with a similar theme. Poets have been excavating at love and what it means to them as individuals as far as i can remember. why can't people just accept that this poem was inspired by love and nothing else.

Bro, I didn't say it was the same, and I'm not dissing your efforts as I think you are a fine performer. however Neruda clearly influenced you, which is fine, great even..your language is modern, urban, raplike even etc, but at least give the man a nod. I'm sure he'd like your efforts.
Although I had read Neruda's work before. I had no worrking knowledge of Nerunda's poem before writing this. It was brought to my attention afterwards. I give him a nod as a fellow poet, but his poem had NO PART in my writing of this piece. I will not continue this banter, as I have already pointed out, the poems are nearly opposite concepts.
