I have found too much competition can lead to unbalance and repetitive strain injury, can imprison the mind with visions of victory, can destroy self esteem, and compel a person to withhold information to prevent others from bettering. Focusing on improvement of oneself can regain touch with balance, help others become strong and make our environment a better place to live in. I think this is a major social and personal issue that extends beyond parkour, and that needs to be addressed.
Anyone who has developed their body to any degree understands how the body can develop. I don't see why anyone would listen to a doctor who spends their days sitting in front of information studying books, periodical, and journals. People in poor physical condition are more greatly affected by fear. It is their body warning them, and many can only naively warn others. Movement and freedom is so natural to us, kids understand this instinctively and react with enthusiasm. Be strong and be free !
"doctors are warning it may cause injuries" like football, basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, gymnastics, tennis, ping pong and anything else that does not involve you sitting in a sturdy chair in a sterile room
District B13.Watch it in original with subs not the english verzion. The movie that started it all-7 years ago-ofcourse in Europe-France to be exact.Davide Bell(my men) and Siril Rafaeli:)))
the problem with competition is that to fairly evaluate you need to introduce a lot of rules. having too many rules goes against the whole philosophy, which is all about freedom
Oh man, an Olympic sport? I can't wait!

Will someone in tv ever understand that parkour is not a sport. It's very sad when they're saying that parkour is sport on national television.
