that would be true if the Quran is only preserved by writing but its not its preserved by memory look my country is a small country it have now 1 million ppl and more than 50 area and in every area there is 7 to 10 block and in every block there is 2 to 3 mosque and in every one of them there is an imam or priest as u call it and the imam memorized the Quran every dot and every mark no 1 ever said my Quran is right and yours is wrong i listen 2 an indian imam and many more its exactly the same.

@fkaah But there ARE multiple qur'ans. Some versions qur'ans have been destroyed for political reasons, just like the catholic church destroyed non-catholic bibles in the middle ages.

There are seven versions still in use today, with many minor differences:

Abu Bakr `Asim, Abu `Amr al-`Ala', Ibn `Amir, Ibn Kathir, al-Qisa'i, Hamzah, and Nafi`.

Scholar Subhii al-Saalih says the differences include: grammar, consonants, substitution of words, reversals, additions/deletions, etc.

You said "why we have only one qur'an today" and when I show you there's more than one you simply move the goalpost and say "All these different qur'ans are similar." You also skipped the other qur'ans that were destroyed in the past.

There's nothing miraculous about a book that obviously was changed over time in several different directions. There's nothing miraculous about a fragmented religion ( Sunni, Shia, Sufi, Wahabi...)

@fkaah You are correct, this is Ibn Masud's qur'an that contains these words. This qur'an is not in use but can still be found. Probably MORE authentic than other qur'ans.

For an example of a change of meaning in the qur'ans currently in use, here it is:

In Hafs' qur'an 2:10 it says "yakdhibuuna" = "they lied"

But in Warsh's qur'an 2:9 (notice how the numbering differs too) it says "yukadhdhibuuna" = "they were lied TO" which is the total opposite. This is just one example, there are many more.

@AtheismTV its not just the texts but the content. the fact that they were poetic and the prophet SAW didnt even write. i think the preservation of the quran is a miracle, especially considering the early schisms and civil wars, during a time of unrest like that it could have easily been lost and made up later with different books like the new testament. but Allah protected the noble quraan and all the information in it including references to 'modern' scientific 'discoveries' eg.water cycle etc
